Job Description

Location: Austin, Texas
Please note – this role is based in Austin, TX. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance, as this position requires working in the office 3 days per week.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Payroll Analyst to join our team!

In this role, the Senior Payroll Analyst will be responsible for independently processing payroll in a multi-state environment while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality. This position serves as a subject matter expert for payroll operations, acting as an escalation point for complex issues and collaborating closely with HR, Finance, IT, and third-party vendors. Strong experience with Workday or ADP, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of payroll regulations are critical for success in this role.

  • Process weekly and biweekly multi-state payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees

  • Prepare and upload large payroll files in Workday or ADP

  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions

  • Maintain accurate payroll records with strict confidentiality

  • Audit payroll data and reconcile discrepancies with strong attention to detail

  • Manage payroll taxes, garnishments, and benefits deductions

  • Research and implement payroll tax and compliance requirements

  • Serve as payroll subject matter expert, collaborating cross‑functionally and driving process improvements

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • 3–5 years of Payroll Analyst experience, including hands-on payroll processing

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) — required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent professional experience

  • Demonstrated experience using Workday or ADP payroll systems

  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis)

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to confidentiality

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Target Compensation:

$85,000.00/annual

DOT Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Compensation Range

$69,300.00 - $103,900.00
