nCino’s Legal team is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Paralegal to provide senior-level, best-in-class legal support to attorneys and business stakeholders across the organization. This role will primarily support partner and vendor contracting, while also assisting with a broad range of legal initiatives, including intellectual property matters and other strategic projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong contract review and analysis skills, excellent project management capabilities, and a passion for driving process improvements and operational efficiencies in a fast-paced, SaaS environment. This individual will work closely with attorneys and collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Product/Engineering, Information Security, Sales, IT, Marketing, Accounting/Finance, and other business partners to help scale and support nCino’s growing global operations.


Responsibilities

Support partner and vendor contracting initiatives by drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating a wide range of highly complex agreements, including technology partner, vendor, and other third-party contracts, in collaboration with attorneys.

Lead contract lifecycle management for partner and vendor agreements, including intake, tracking, stakeholder coordination, approvals, and execution.

Develop, maintain, and improve templates, playbooks, and internal guidance for partner and vendor contracting and related legal processes with attorney guidance.

Independently manage intake and prioritization of legal requests, helping determine appropriate routing, timelines, and level of attorney involvement.

Review contracts for legal, business, and operational risk; identify issues; propose revisions; and escalate complex matters to attorneys as appropriate.

Conduct legal research and deliver practical, business-focused guidance to attorneys and business stakeholders.

Drive cross-functional legal projects and initiatives by coordinating stakeholders across Legal, Accounting/Finance, Marketing, Sales, Security, Product/Engineering, and other business teams to ensure timely and effective execution of legal workstreams.

Assist in scaling legal operations, including maintaining contract repositories, tracking key metrics, and improving visibility into legal workloads and priorities.

Provide guidance and mentorship to associate and junior-level paralegal team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years' experience or combination of experience, education, and superior performance.
  • Paralegal Degree/Certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of legal language and principles, research methods, contracts, and other corporate policies and legal practices.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment with excellent ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail with keen analytical abilities and aptitude.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team and across the organization.
  • Adaptable and able to pivot; committed to continuous learning.
     

Desired Traits, Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
  • Experience supporting partner ecosystems and vendor management including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating partner, vendor, and technology agreements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams, including Product, Engineering, and Information Security.
  • Legal operations or process improvement experience.
  • Experience using Gen AI Tools/Legal AI Tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Harvey), Contract Lifecycle Management Tools (e.g., Ironclad), and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing, evolving environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, business judgment, and practical problem-solving mindset.
  • Banking and/or Financial Institution experience.
  • SaaS or technology company experience.

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The recruiter for this job posting can share more compensation details during the recruitment process, as base salary is only one component of the total compensation package per position posted.

The base salary range for this job is:

$39.20 - $66.70
