Your role at Baxter:

You are responsible in enabling, guiding and supporting the OPEX deployment strategy at the Plant. This will involve strategy deployment, workshop creation and facilitation, mentoring on problem solving, the use of lean and six sigma tools and basic statistical analysis wrapped in a project management framework This individual should have very good business acumen; interpersonal, and communication skills. What you'll be doing

  • Lead and support the Site Performance Improvement through the Cultural Change in implementing the BOS Baxter Operating System in the various Value Streams and Business Processes.  Responsible for identifying opportunities within the site, obtaining approvals, prioritizing and managing projects through benefit realization. Responsible for driving site performance transformation through process improvement initiatives. Responsible for the proper application of Lean/Six Sigma tools, Project Management, Process Management and Improvement and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Support the site strategy for continuous improvement through the BOS implementation to achieve Bronze, Silver and eventually Gold.   Team up to transfer knowledge of the BOS throughout the site at all levels.
  • Help with Lean Leadership Training
  • Support the Annual Site Strategic Plan and the governance.  Provides support on annual goal, target setting process, site transformation strategies and business processes, and area initiatives to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the VCD/VIP Value Improvement Program and achieve each year’s target
  • Support the LDMS Lean Daily Management System at all levels
  • Support site critical KPI’s of Waste, Efficiency and Productivity with identification of the areas or opportunities.
  • Promote the identification of waste in manufacturing and business processes with the focus on 8 Step Problem solving mentality and the search of root causes.
  • Promotes a continuous improvement mentality, identifies improvements to cycle times, production sequences, material flow, etc. to ensure that the assigned area has the capacity to maintain the supply chain and/or introduce new products
  • Supports areas initiatives to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies, designs, and implements improvements that provide fast, sustainable, and low-risk/high-reward benefits for the assigned areas.
  • Develops and implement KPIs, such as: business process, team performance, change management, continuous improvement, learning, GMPs and communications.
  • Facilitates Lean/Operational Excellence tools training modules. Leads and facilitates the application of Lean/Six sigma continuous improvement tools.
  • Coaches’ area members on process ownership, standard ways of working and to have a sustainable process for improvement.
  • Designs and implements visual control strategies.
  • Responsible for the proper application of Lean/Six Sigma Tools, projects management, process management and improvement in cross-functional team leadership.
  • Actively report health and safety hazards, environmental aspects, incidents, and EHS management system risks and opportunities. Participate in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation and actions for continuous improvement of the EHS Management System.

 

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree – Independent of field with Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP, FDA & EHSS regulations
  • Willing to travel outside of Puerto Rico
  • Project Management knowledge
  • Knowledgeable on process/equipment validation
  • Lean six sigma tools knowledge and expertise
  • Geen Belt,  Black Belt Desired
  •  Full Bilingual - written and spoken English & Spanish
