This full-time role is located on our campus and operates on a 4-day on, 4-day off shift pattern, with start times ranging from 07:00 to 08:00 and ending between 17:15 to 18:15. Join our team at Dyson and be part of our exciting journey to shape the future of technology and customer satisfaction.

About The Role

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Operative where your main responsibilities will revolve around ensuring Dyson products returned by UK customers are diagnosed, repaired, and serviced to the highest quality service level set by Dyson. You'll be an integral part of our commitment to excellence.

Your expertise will be put to use as you repair and rebuild returned or customer machines following the defined Dyson policies and procedures. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in refurbishing products to meet Dyson's exacting quality standards. You’ll assist in loading and offloading vehicles, unboxing and re-boxing Dyson products and parts, and managing bookings and dispatches using various systems.

We take pride in maintaining a clean and organised working environment, and you'll play a significant role in this by using our state-of-the-art dust extraction equipment and provided cleaning materials. Furthermore, you'll contribute to our commitment to sustainability by properly disposing of site waste and adhering to recycling processes.

Your attention to detail and efficiency will be paramount as you participate in the picking, packing, and dispatching of Dyson products and parts while striving to achieve performance targets. You'll also help keep our onsite stock locations well-stocked and organised.

You will:

  • Diagnose, Repair and service Dyson products returned by UK customers according to the Dyson quality service level
  • Repair / Rebuild the returned / customer machine as per the defined Dyson policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are followed
  • Be able to follow written & electronic data and instructions
  • Adhere to Dyson Quality Standards
  • Assist in the loading and offloading of vehicles
  • Unbox and re-box all Dyson products and parts
  • Book in and dispatch using SAP, CRM, PCF and courier systems
  • Ensure cleanliness of all our products and working environment using dust extraction equipment and cleaning materials and products provided
  • Assist the disposal of all site waste ensuring site recycling processes and procedures are followed and onsite equipment is used correctly
  • Picking, Packing and Dispatching of Dyson products and parts working to achieve set performance targets
  • Replenishment of our parts and products in all our onsite stock locations
  • Work as a team member to deliver high quality products and good customer service
  • Follow reclamation, preparation, regarding and packing standard operating procedures and quality standards documentation
  • Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping of all operational areas.
  • All manual handling activities
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are followed
  • Actively support and participate in site ISO & Quality Standards

About You

We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in a warehouse environment, possessing basic computer literacy (Word/Excel), and good communication skills in English. You need to be adept at following instructions and diagrams for fault diagnosis and repairs, have strong problem-solving abilities, and have a dedication to customer satisfaction and quality.

You will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and exhibit ambition, with a passion for our brand and a drive for achieving results and goals. Experience with different IT systems and an understanding of electrical and mechanical principles are valuable assets. Attention to detail, a proactive approach to seizing opportunities, along with the ability to act with flexibility and initiative, will stand you in good stead.

We're looking for someone who:

  • has experience of working in a busy warehouse environment
  • is computer literate i.e. Word/Excel
  • has basic Numeracy and literacy skills

Experience that is desirable but not mandatory:

  • Up to date Counterbalance License
  • Experience of using different IT systems
  • Electrical and mechanical understanding
  • Experience as Technician in a service/technical or manufacturing environment
