GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Operations Specialist at Wild Alaskan Company, you'll provide support to our Supply Chain team, ensuring that our seafood, dry goods, and value added inventory flows seamlessly from fulfillment centers to members’ doorsteps. Reporting to our Senior Fulfillment Manager, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to quality, sustainability, traceability, and member satisfaction.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weekly order file process, ensuring our Fulfillment Partners receive the orders in an accurate and timely manner (including Sundays)
  • Gate Keeper of OPs Reporter - respond timely to all MX questions on members’ boxes
  • Guardian of Inventory: You'll receive inbound shipments in our system; reviewing and requesting validation of discrepancies from the FCs
  • Reconciliation Maestro: Spot discrepancies? No problem! You'll reconcile items and have FCs make necessary corrections to ensure paperwork matches WAC’s audit requirements
  • Sending out weekly Projections to Fulfillment Centers
  • Sending out weekly Inventory Scorecards to Fulfillment Centers
  • Monitor day-to-day operations, report on performance, and recommend actionable improvements when necessary through the review of the looker dashboard KPIs and note any inefficiencies
  • Fulfillment Center Liaison: You'll be the bridge between our company and our fulfillment centers, ensuring clear and efficient communication regarding out-of-stocks, volume projections (including dry ice forecasts), developing solutions to shortages, and disposal of expired or soon to be expired products
  • Finventory Custodian: The team will rely on your Finventory updates, including collecting, processing, and presenting inventory variances and resolutions
  • Responsible liaison for working with FCs to obtain traceability documentation within 24 hours of request regarding food safety issues
  • Counting Guru: Tracking cycle counts will be second nature to you, and you will be representing our team when you travel up to 20% of the time to our fulfillment centers for those crucial physical counts
  • Maintain communication with fulfillment partners to ensure adherence to WAC protocols across key touch points
  • Back up to Final Mile Manager: Carrier requests and/or answer minor issues
  • Assist the Sr Fulfillment Manager in developing, planning, and coordinating operational activities, including onboarding & offboarding FCs
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for accuracy and precision
  • Proficiency in Google Suite with emphasis on Excel/Google Sheets
  • Arithmetic: Strong computational skills for inventory calculations
  • Apply knowledge: We're looking for someone who can apply gained knowledge to proactively continuously improve processes
  • Organizational Skills: The ability to keep track of multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Communication skills: The ability to communicate clearly and effectively internally with team members, and externally with partners as a representative of Wild Alaskan Company
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Inventory Transactions: Experience with WMS/ERPs and learn how to navigate through new systems

The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000, commensurate with skills and experience. Wild Alaskan’s benefits package includes health, vision, and dental insurance, 401k, PTO, safe/sick time, vacation, parental leave and more, as well as a delicious box of free fish every month.
