DESCRIPTION:
Join our team as a Sr OEM Business Development Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to expanding our partnerships and business growth within our Genetic Sciences Division. You'll develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, focusing on building long-term relationships with OEM partners in the life sciences, diagnostics, and laboratory automation markets. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll identify new business opportunities, negotiate complex commercial agreements, and ensure successful execution of partner commitments. This role combines strategic business development and technical sales, allowing you to leverage both your scientific knowledge and commercial expertise to make a meaningful impact on global healthcare and research.

COVERAGE TERRITORY: United States - Select Key Accounts + New Accounts


REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in any life science field + minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including lead development, negotiation of Supply Agreements, sales funnel management, product development/commercialization and competitive market research. Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred.
• Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Engineering, or related field
• Understanding of molecular technologies, immunodiagnostics, and laboratory automation workflows (specifically microarray, capillary electrophoresis sequencing, qPCR and dPCR)
• Track record of complex deal negotiation and closing large commercial agreements
• Experience managing strategic accounts and developing long-term partner relationships
• Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce
• Project management and cross-functional team leadership abilities
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Financial acumen and business case development capabilities
• Ability to travel up to 50% for customer visits, trade shows, and internal meetings
• Valid driver's license and passport required
• Experience with regulatory requirements in IVD/pharma industries preferred
• Ability to work independently and navigate matrix organizations effectively
• Negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Multilingual capabilities preferred for international positions
