What this job involves:

Drive strategic occupancy excellence as a Senior Occupancy Planner with JLL, where you'll serve as the primary point of contact for comprehensive occupancy planning and management services for enterprise clients. You'll optimize workspace efficiency through expert space assignments, data-driven insights, and strategic program implementation while managing day-to-day operational requests and long-term space optimization initiatives. This role positions you at the center of workplace transformation, where your expertise in space planning methodologies, technology platforms, and client relationship management will directly impact business objectives and workspace efficiency. You'll contribute to JLL's leadership in occupancy planning services by delivering innovative solutions, maintaining data accuracy, and facilitating seamless transitions that support transformative, data-driven workplaces within dynamic corporate environments.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Occupancy Operations Management: Serve as client's single point of contact for daily operational occupancy requests, assign and reassign individual spaces based on validated business needs and mobile worker seat sharing ratios, and negotiate space transfers between business units
  • Strategic Space Planning: Conduct building audits in partnership with onsite teams to verify employee locations, furniture layouts, and room configurations while demonstrating changes in block plan format and providing viable solutions for complex requirements  
  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Manage monthly reporting schedules for people and space data, conduct quarterly OP Analytics providing strategic insights for client review, and perform data stewardship ensuring accuracy and consistency across all datasets
  • Quality Assurance: Undertake monthly data quality checks, data reconciliation, and comprehensive quality assurance audits while tracking and reporting space requests and associated KPIs to measure program effectiveness
  • Client Partnership: Work closely with key stakeholders to implement strategic programs, facilitate seamless transitions from current operating models to JLL service delivery frameworks, and gather scope details while highlighting parameters and solutions
  • Performance Management: Participate in quarterly business reviews and annual performance evaluation sessions, applying best practices and lean process methodology to minimize disruption to client operations
  • Strategic Program Implementation: Create transformative, data-driven workplace solutions by analyzing utilization patterns, optimizing space allocation strategies, and supporting long-term occupancy planning initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in occupancy planning, space management, or facility management with proven track record of managing enterprise-level occupancy planning programs
  • Experience working with IWMS/CAFM systems, preferably OpenSpace or similar platforms, with proficiency in occupancy planning software and strong analytical capabilities
  • Background in corporate real estate portfolio management with understanding of office space measurement standards (BOMA, IFMA, RICS) and workplace strategy concepts
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for block planning and space layout documentation with experience in data management, quality assurance, and reconciliation processes
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in space utilization analysis, reporting, and KPI tracking to measure program effectiveness and optimize workspace efficiency
  • Proven ability to serve as primary client contact, manage stakeholder relationships, and facilitate complex space planning decisions across enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with space optimization methodologies and lean process approaches with ability to implement best practices while minimizing operational disruption

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field with professional certifications in space planning or facility management

Extensive experience managing Fortune 500 client accounts with background in large-scale workplace transformation initiatives and strategic program implementation

Expertise in multiple CAFM/IWMS platforms with experience in advanced analytics, dashboard development, and automated reporting systems

Background in workplace strategy development, space optimization consulting, or corporate real estate advisory services with understanding of emerging workplace trends

Experience supporting organizational transformation initiatives, technology implementations, or major workplace redesign projects with proven stakeholder engagement capabilities

Demonstrated thought leadership in occupancy planning through speaking engagements, publications, or active participation in professional organizations (IFMA, CoreNet Global)

Estimated compensation for this position:

135,000.00 – 145,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
