Your mission

As Senior Motion Designer within the Brand team, you will be the driving force behind Alma's animated visual storytelling across all touchpoints. Your mission is to create compelling motion design and video content that brings our brand platform to life, engaging both merchants and consumers across Europe. With exceptional operational excellence, you'll manage projects end-to-end, maintain clear stakeholder communication, and consistently deliver on time to meet ambitious deadlines.

As a business partner, you'll craft everything from product explainer videos and marketing ads to customer testimonials and case studies. Through your expertise in 2D/3D motion design and video production, you'll build scalable systems that empower teams across Alma to communicate our value proposition with impact and consistency, establishing Alma as a visually distinctive leader in European fintech.

Main responsibilities

  • Create animated assets for the Creative Studio aligned with our brand platform, including 2D/3D motion design for B2B and B2C product videos, marketing ads, and brand campaigns. Collaborate closely with Revenue, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to translate payment concepts and product features into clear, engaging visual narratives that drive conversion and adoption.
  • Plan, prioritize and execute projects with cross-functional stakeholders, managing freelance resources when needed within allocated budgets to meet ambitious delivery timelines.
  • Lead autonomous video production, capturing interviews, case studies, conference content, and product demonstrations that showcase Alma's impact on merchants and consumers.
  • Build scalable motion design systems for animated content, developing templates, libraries, and production frameworks that enable efficient creation while maintaining brand consistency across all markets.
  • Drive continuous improvement of our brand platform, proposing updates based on design trends, market insights, and performance data to keep Alma's visual identity fresh and competitive.
  • Master AI-powered video and content generation tools, integrating cutting-edge technologies to accelerate production, enhance creativity, and push the boundaries of what's possible in brand storytelling.

Your Skills

Hard skills

  • Advanced motion design expertise in After Effects and 3D software (Blender or Cinema 4D) with a portfolio demonstrating sophisticated 2D and 3D animation work.
  • Project and Operational Excellence: Proven experience managing creative projects with structured processes, meeting quality standards and deadlines
  • Video production capabilities including shooting, lighting, sound capture, and editing for interviews, case studies, and product presentations.
  • Brand Platform mastery: Deep understanding of brand guidelines with ability to apply, adapt, and evolve the brand platform to align with strategic needs.
  • Motion Design at scale: Creating scalable assets for animated content, developing efficient templates and systems.
  • Communication & Content Quality: Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail for all textual content (titles, subtitles, scripts, captions). Ability to produce polished, error-free deliverables that reflect brand standards.
  • AI tools proficiency is a strong asset (Dust, Claude, Runway, Midjourney, Synthesia, or similar platforms for video and content generation).

What would make you a good fit for this job?

  • 6+ years of experience as a Motion Designer, with significant exposure to creative project management. (Within a large, fast-paced organization is a strong plus.)
  • Proven track record delivering engaging animated content that aligns with brand guidelines and drives measurable business impact.
  • Strong collaborative skills with ability to work effectively with Sales, Product, Marketing, Compliance, and Operations teams to deliver scalable and compliant B2B and B2C content.
  • Experience in B2B/B2C, tech, consumer products, payments, or digital products is highly valued.
  • Background in video shooting and production for client interviews, testimonials, or product presentation films is highly valued.
  • Portfolio showcasing diverse motion design projects, brand system implementation, and video production work.
  • French native speaker with business-level English proficiency.
  • On-site presence in Paris, with two remote working days each week.

Tool Stack

  • Production: After Effects (expert level), Blender or Cinema 4D, Figma and Adobe.
  • Project Management: Notion, Slack, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
