The Senior Motion Design & Video Editor is an important member of Manulife’s Global Communications Team. This role involves collaborating to produce high-quality video assets and motion design graphics for both internal and external channels and senior stakeholders. Responsibilities include end-to-end creation of video content such as corporate event sizzle reels, long-form narratives, explainer videos, internal web assets, and external social and web assets, along with bespoke outputs for various executive stakeholders for use in live event productions. This multifaceted role demands expertise in motion design, video editing, video storytelling, and events production to deliver compelling content across all digital platforms, consistently upholding brand standards, fostering innovation in visual storytelling, and pushing for high concept creative quality.
Position Responsibilities:
Role can expect the following estimated effort allocation: 60%-time video editing, 40%-time motion animation
Create sophisticated motion graphics and video element assets for content deliverables, including fully animated explainer videos, production assets such as lower thirds, and animated info graphics.
Innovate visual story telling through animation. Demonstrating a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality motion graphic deliverables that meet client requirements and exceed expectations.
End to end post-production. Interpret script, assemble raw footage, source stock video, add music, SFX, and transitions with high attention to detail.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals, gather feedback, and incorporate revisions to achieve the desired creative vision.
Contribute to the creative process by bringing innovative ideas and creative treatments to the table, elevating our content output.
Communicate professionally and effectively on a high output, deadline driven team.
Understand and adhere to company brand guidelines and best practices.
Organize and manage media files efficiently.
Ensure final output is optimized for different platforms.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, continuously refining skills, and exploring new techniques to push creative boundaries and storytelling.
Incorporate AI tools and workflows into creative production in alignment with responsible use guidelines and quickly evolving company protocols.
Required Qualifications:
7-10 years of motion design and video editing experience within agency, broadcast or corporate environment.
7 years of professional use with adobe Creative Suite
Solid portfolio showcasing a range of motion graphics, animations, and video editing projects.
Proven ability to produce within the edit, adding elements and structure to elevate the script.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative suite tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop etc.)
Work with team members and stakeholders to translate scripts into final outputs
Expert Understanding of, pacing, transitions, and visual narrative structure.
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, incorporate feedback and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in creative team settings.
Professional approach to managing and adhering to company guidelines regarding confidential and sensitive material non-public information.
Experience creating live event media such as sizzle reels and Keynote primer videos.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 3D motion tools like Cinema 4D, Blender, or Maya is a plus.
Familiarity with AI production tools and workflows a plus. Static design skills in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop a plus.
Corporate/agency/broadcast photography and or videography experience is a plus.

Salary range is expected to be between
