 THE ROLE:

Entegris is currently seeking Senior Mold Maker V to join our team.  This position will be based at our Colorado Springs, CO facility.

The Senior Mold Maker V is the most senior mold‑making role within the organization and is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing Entegris and customer‑owned molds, tooling, and fixtures. This role applies mastery‑level machining and mechanical expertise to complex tooling challenges and provides technical leadership in support of Production and New Product Development through process and product improvements. 

HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 7AM-3:30PM MONDAY-FRIDAY

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE IF NOT WITHIN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF COLORADO SPRINGS

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Maintain, repair, and improve existing tooling to support production and new product launches 

  • Lead advanced mold repairs and in‑press troubleshooting to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly 

  • Diagnose and resolve complex mold, press, and tooling issues using strong mechanical judgment and root cause analysis 

  • Operate Tool Room equipment at a high level, including CNC mills, CNC EDMs, wire EDMs, CNC lathes, grinders, and polishing tools 

  • Use Mastercam, SolidWorks, and Pro/E to create or modify models and machining programs as needed 

  • Assemble, disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble production molds following standard procedures 

  • Keep mold files and documentation current, including ECOs, repairs, and improvement history 

  • Serve as the senior mold maker on site, setting the standard for workmanship, safety, and documentation 

  • Mentor and train other mold makers, sharing best practices and helping resolve complex problems 

  • Help organize daily tooling work, support on‑the‑job training, and contribute to the development of the tooling team 

  • Support Production and New Product Development through process improvements, fixture builds, and special tooling projects 

  • Partner with engineering, production, and other teams to share solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost 

  • Complete other tasks as needed to support business and production goals

  • Support production goals and objectives by completing additional tasks as assigned 

WHAT WE SEEK:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 

  • A 2‑year degree in mold making, completed apprenticeship, or equivalent experience preferred  

  • 10+ years of progressive experience as a mold/tool maker in a tool room or job shop environment 

  • Demonstrated tooling experience supporting new product development and product release to manufacturing 

  • Mastery‑level competencies in mold design, build, revision, repair, and troubleshooting 

  • Advanced mechanical reasoning, problem‑solving, and diagnostic skills 

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and train others while serving as a technical resource for complex issues 

  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence under general supervision and exercise sound judgment 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform math computations and computer data entry 

  • Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed to support business demands

  • Compensation: $43-$50 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role

  • $3000 Sign on Bonus (pre-tax)
