Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mendix Developer with a strong background in developing enterprise applications using the Mendix low-code platform. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Siemens Opcenter (Discrete and/or Process) to help build integrated, scalable, and efficient manufacturing solutions. This is a key role that involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain applications using the Mendix low-code platform.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and UX/UI designers to gather requirements and deliver business-centric solutions.
Integrate Mendix applications with Siemens Opcenter (Discrete/Process) and other enterprise systems.
Develop and maintain interfaces using REST, SOAP, OData APIs, and database connections.
Implement best practices for architecture, security, and performance optimization.
Provide mentorship and code reviews to junior developers and support overall team development.
Ensure documentation, version control, and application lifecycle management processes are followed.
Stay up to date with Mendix platform updates and relevant technologies including MES/Opcenter.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in software/application development.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Mendix, including advanced features.
Mendix Advanced Developer Certification (Expert level is a plus).
Practical experience or working knowledge of Siemens Opcenter Execution (Discrete or Process).
Strong understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and integration workflows.
Familiarity with APIs, data modeling, and integration best practices.
Good knowledge of application architecture and enterprise solution design.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices (CI/CD).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or SAP Cloud.
Exposure to manufacturing industry use cases and plant operations.
Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, and web technologies (HTML/CSS).
Knowledge of security standards, performance tuning, and compliance in enterprise environments.
Experience leading Mendix or MES-focused projects.
