Role Purpose

The Marketing Performance and Analytics team are recruiting a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to optimize our marketing technology stack and processes to drive campaign effectiveness. Reporting to the VP, Marketing Performance & Analytics, you will lead a small team while developing our marketing automation capabilities, particularly Pardot, to support our growth targets.

This role requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders and our Digital teams to prioritize high-impact initiatives and maximize our MarTech investments.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as product lead for Marketing Technology platforms (Asana, GlobalMeet, Cognism, Pardot and others), maximising value and return on investment.

  • Own and deliver the Martech enhancement roadmap to support effective, data-driven marketing campaigns.

  • Partner with Marketing Analytics to drive innovation through insight-led decision-making.

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and implement high-impact operational improvements.

  • Identify and implement new marketing technologies where required.

  • Lead and develop a small team, embedding personal development plans and continuous improvement in ways of working.

  • Develop, document, and improve marketing processes, including training, onboarding, and offboarding.

  • Enhance Asana reporting and analytics to improve team efficiency and optimisation.

  • Develop and maintain MarTech documentation and standards.

  • Build and optimise HTML email templates and upskill colleagues in best practice.

  • Ensure effective adoption of marketing technologies through training, governance, and process improvement.

  • Work with Privacy and Procurement to ensure GDPR compliance and approval of new technologies and processes.

  • Drive the adoption of AI within Marketing Operations and the wider team.

  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maximise the use of data and marketing platforms.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced leader with at least 7 years' experience in the Marketing Operations space. You should have extensive experience in leading the development of how Marketing technology is used, whilst demonstrating examples of enhancing operational processes to increase impact and ROI. You will require experience of working with a range of senior stakeholders to identify the most impactful projects, whilst being hands on with technology.

  • Expert in using Pardot for automation and utilising lead scoring or similar technologies such as Eloqua or Marketo.

  • Holder of Pardot certification or alternative automation certification.

  • Proven experience working in a B2B marketing role.

  • Experience of using a range of Marketing technology such as Dreamdata, GA4, Salesforce, Cognism/ZoomInfo/Dun & Bradstreet, 6Sense, with examples of new implementations.

  • Experience managing global teams with diverse skill sets.

  • Experience in building, mentoring and coaching a team whilst building personal development plans for career growth.

  • Experience of using HTML to develop and build email templates

  • Strong experience in leadership & change management.

  • Demonstrable experience of using AI to develop use of technology within a Marketing department.

  • Excellent stakeholder and project management skills, with the ability to focus on the highest value tasks which will drive the biggest impact.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Excellent ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Experience with onboarding and supporting RFP processes for new Marketing technologies.

  • Excellent commercial acumen, with the ability to understand the wider impact of projects and identify opportunities.

  • Ability to translate business objectives into goals, operational requirements and measurements.

  • Demonstrated experience of senior stakeholder management.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively & drive innovation

  • Knowledge of the energy & commodity markets will be beneficial

Expectations

  • We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.

  • The nature of this role precludes it from consideration for part-time or flexible working arrangements

  • Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones.
