As a Senior Marketing Engineer you will engage in both inbound and outbound marketing activities, ensuring not only the challenges ahead are well known and understood as design work begins but also when the solution is market ready you will help shape the message and delivery strategy.
As a Senior Marketing Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
Provide technical leadership and mentoring for marketing in power systems and all related SEL products.
Technically review marketing collateral including emails, webpages, presentations, videos, social posts, etc.
Participate and present at SEL marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, and conferences. Serves as the technical lead for tradeshows, conferences, or seminar activities.
Collaborate with cross-company groups defining what our next generation of offerings would need to include for long term customer success.
Researching market offerings, new technologies, standards changes, regulatory shifts, or other such factors.
Contribute to technical publications or videos used to teach and promote our offerings.
This job might be for you if you have:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
10+ years of experience with electrical power systems with a focus in protective relays and power system operating principles, MBA or other relevant experience highly valued
Experience in teaching others about the electrical power system concepts
Ability to work independently, accepting ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Deep level of understanding of zones of protection, instrument transformers, and protective relaying schemes
Understanding the driving decision factors for power system equipment selection focusing on protection and control hardware and software.
Experience reviewing power system drawings including one-lines, three-lines, AC schematics, DC schematics, wiring diagrams, for use in marketing collateral.
Demonstrated understanding of each stage of the settings creation process, calculations, and delivery of high-quality work and how that work might impact purchasing decisions
Experience with electric power transmission, distribution, and/or generation systems.
Experience being a part of and/or leading a project team.
Willing to travel, roughly 25% expected.

Pay Range Data
We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Marketing Engineer $160,600 - $237,300. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
