This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day digital content execution across AstraZeneca’s US corporate digital channels. Sitting within the Centre of Digital Excellence (CoDE), this role works in close alignment with US Corporate Affairs and US Corporate Communications teams to ensure timely, accurate, and effective digital support for US communications and advocacy priorities.
What you'll do
US Stakeholder Partnership & Support
Works day-to-day with US Corporate Affairs and US Corporate Communications teams, supporting their communications and advocacy priorities through digital channels.
Serve as a dependable digital point of contact for US teams, ensuring requests are understood, prioritized, and delivered accurately across audience-focused channels.
Escalate strategic questions, risks, or complex decisions to senior CoDE leadership as appropriate. Keep US teams informed of platform best practices and internal processes.
US Web Content Management
Support ongoing updates and maintenance of astrazeneca-us.com, ensuring content is accurate, current, and delivered in a timely manner following appropriate guidance and procedures with US partners.
Coordinate content updates, page refreshes, and publishing requests in partnership with platform and operations teams.
Monitor site content regularly to identify outdated materials, gaps, or issues requiring attention, while ensuring the site meets compliance standards.
US Social Media Channel Management
Manage day-to-day publishing and maintenance of US corporate social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, podcast) in line with established standards and guidance.
Implement targeted social media publishing to support US communications, advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
Support community management workflows, raising issues or risks according to established protocols.
Content creation and development as needed, using templated tools like Adobe Express.
Paid Social & Amplification Support
Support execution of US paid social media programs, working with internal teams and agency partners. Coordinate content delivery, approvals, and scheduling for paid and amplified posts. Support tracking and reporting of paid and targeted social media activity.
Employee Amplification & Targeted Distribution
Support US employee amplification programs, including content coordination, scheduling, and performance tracking. Assist with targeted distribution strategies to reach priority US audiences through appropriate channels and tools. Ensure employee and targeted content aligns with compliance, policy, and messaging guidance.
Social Listening & US Issues Support
Support social listening and monitoring across US digital channels to identify emerging issues, narratives, and sentiment relevant to US Corporate Affairs and Communications priorities.
Monitor conversation trends, engagement patterns, and potential risks related to US policy, corporate reputation, and regulatory topics, using approved social listening tools.
Partner with senior team members to ensure listening insights inform content adjustments, amplification decisions, and response planning when appropriate.
Operational Execution & Coordination
Manage intake and execution of US digital requests in coordination with CoDE processes and tools.
Partner with Digital Operations and Publishing teams to ensure smooth delivery, QA, and compliance.
Maintain documentation, schedules, and trackers to support transparency and planning.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Support basic reporting and performance tracking for US digital channels and programs.
Share insights, trends, and observations with senior team members to inform planning and optimization.
Apply findings to improve execution quality and efficiency over time.
Essential for the role
Bachelors degree
Minimum 5 years digital communications experience working in a fast-paced global in-house or agency communications team
Digital strategist with experience deploying data-driven campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels
Highly skilled at creating innovative and impactful content for multiple digital channels including web, social media and email while using enabling technologies and platforms
Advanced knowledge in Sprinklr and Brandwatch or equivalent platforms
Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and flexibly, think ahead, and take initiative
Experience in using data and research and sourcing insights to inform campaign planning and influence stakeholders
Significant experience of managing different stakeholder relationships. Confidence around leaders and global colleagues and delivering alternative viewpoints
Experience in working matrixed environment with international teams or on projects with international dimensions, contributing to and prioritising multiple high-level projects across cultures and time zones
Appreciation of the role of Artificial Intelligence in improving performance and efficiencies in digital communications
Technological competence and skills, able to use a wide range of enabling platforms
Exceptional project management skills and interpersonal skills with ability to manage external resources/agency partners
Strong visual judgment and copy-writing skills
Resilience under pressure
Used to seeing the bigger picture and working collaboratively with a high level of personal accountability
Able to develop and maintain networks across business and cultural boundaries
Capable of achieving results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often on short deadlines
Excellent standard of written and spoken English
Flexibility to work on US holidays
Desirable for the role
Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated sector.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 125,822.40 to 165,141.90.AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).
