Senior Manager, Technical Training

Our Global Supply Chain & Quality (GSC&Q) Team plays a central part in ensuring our products are delivered to patients with cardiovascular disease. You’ll partner cross-functionally with manufacturing operations quality, engineering, and HR teams delivering thoughtful solutions to complex challenges all while developing your knowledge of the medical device industry. Whether your work includes strategic inventory planning, labeling, warehouse management, material handling, or any of our other supply chain opportunities, you will be making a meaningful contribution to our team and to patients all over the world.

This role is responsible for driving innovation, process optimization, and change management across manufacturing, quality, and engineering functions. Serving as a technical training subject‑matter expert in adult learning principles, this position will lead the development, enhancement, and deployment of training initiatives that support the GSC&Q Manufacturing Sites. The individual will also support the broader Global Technical Training strategy through data‑driven insights, including statistical analysis, effectiveness reporting, and demonstrations of emerging training technologies.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop and manage technical training projects focused on manufacturing systems, training facilities, and equipment; ensure delivery of all project milestones within defined scope, schedule, and quality expectations.

  • Lead and guide project teams to successfully execute tactical initiatives aligned with business needs.

  • Identify, assess, and implement Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) opportunities to enhance training effectiveness and operational efficiency.

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams and department leaders to define technical training requirements, align on priorities, and provide ongoing progress updates.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What we look for:

  • Bachelors degree with 10 years of manufacturing experience and/or training environment or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria.

  • Proven successful project management expertise.

  • Experience with training effectivity measures and statistical analysis

  • Onsite required.

  • Travel up to 20% domestically and international.

What else we look for:

  • Green/Yellow/Black Belts Certifications.

  • Certified or Associate Professional in Talent Development (CPTD or APTD).

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Experience in the medical device industry and/ or cleanroom environment.

  • Extensive understanding of technical training procedures while defining team operating standards and ensuring essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline.

  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of technical training processes and/or systems including training function, Training Processes and Systems, Product Training SOP’s and Work Instructions, Good 'X" Practices (GxP), and Manufacturing Operations.

  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of technical training to the business.

  • Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, preferably JDE.

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $121,000 to $171,000 (highly experienced).
