  • As a Senior Manager Supplier Relationship, you will be responsible for supporting and execution of some of the key components of the Global Supplier Risk & Relationship Management program, primarily supporting RBC’s Wealth Management (WM).
  • In this role, you will be part of the Supplier Relationship Management Center Of Expertise (COE) and will execute or support the day-to-day supplier relationship activities for some of the Enterprise’s critical suppliers, supporting the delivery of our Third-Party Risk (TPR) governance requirements. Key activities include but are not limited to: stakeholder engagement of business partners and vendors, conducting cross-regional supplier reviews and other assessments, supplier analytics, business case development, supplier performance monitoring and reporting, as well as supporting various change initiatives within WM’s overall Supplier Risk & Relationship program.

  • Leadership and assistance in the management of key Suppliers, supporting the WM businesses. This will include coordinating management activities between RBC and the supplier as well as monitoring, reporting and escalating status of projects and incidents.
  • Leadership and coordination of RBC-Supplier operational and executives touch points as appropriate.
  • As part of the Supplier Relationship Management COE, assist the business by providing guidance and advice and in addressing ad-hoc questions.
  • Implement and support contract governance processes, compliance oversight and reviews, including working with Centers of Governance when appropriate.
  • Specifically, support the development and enhancement of supplier exit strategies, required to support regulatory and compliance responsibilities.
  • Supporting other RBC Supplier Managers/Global Supplier Managers with governance activities, performing investigations and analysis as required.
  • Drive value added support related to supplier management activity by helping to define and maintain supplier management best practices.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5 years of expertise (or transferable experience) in supplier/vendor management, procurement, or operations, preferably within financial services or related industries.
  • Proven ability to analyze supplier services, spend, and key performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and research skills to solve problems and drive decisions.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and leadership abilities, with a track record of effective teamwork and interpersonal impact.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and contract management tools.
  • Experience in contract review and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Nice-to-have

  • Self-motivated with superior prioritization and organizational skills and naturally adept at partnering with peers and colleagues within a global matrix organization
  • Familiarity with Wealth Management industry: business, products/services, processes/workflows
  • Ability to manage through influence at various levels, including Senior Management
  • Data management and data visualization tools, such as Tableau
  • Project or change management skills and tools
  • Policy and Procedure documentation
  • Business Administration degree (BComm / MBA) or management consulting experience
