We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead globally distributed teams driving DevSecOps, Product Security, Developer Experience, and Generative AI adoption. This role and organization its leading acts as a force multiplier, accelerating platforms, innovations and enabling Rockwell's vision of industrial autonomy. You will help accelerate teams that are working on next-generation software platforms and developer ecosystems that power the Connected Enterprise, leveraging AI agents, automation frameworks, platform engineering and adaptive systems to deliver breakthrough productivity.

You will lead high-performing teams—including first-line leaders—building best-in-class DevSecOps frameworks, Platforms that are key enablers for a global engineering organization. Your leadership will amplify impact through modern engineering practices, AI-driven workflows, and autonomy-enabling architectures, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and inclusion.

You will report to the VP, Software Engineering.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic vision and innovation leadership, aligning software engineering with Rockwell's transformation goals and AI/autonomy strategy.
  • Act as a force multiplier, scaling impact through automation, developer productivity, and secure-by-design practices.
  • Drive exemplary software architectures and solutions that are robust, extensible, and cost-effective.
  • Champion DevSecOps and AI-driven development, embedding security and intelligence throughout the lifecycle.
  • Integrate Generative AI and agentic frameworks into developer workflows, enabling adaptive, self-optimizing systems.
  • Identify technology gaps and opportunities, making data-driven decisions on investments and partnerships.
  • Lead organizational initiatives in areas such as continuous integration/delivery, AI-enabled developer tools, and process optimization.
  • Build and mentor high-performing teams, ensuring succession planning and leadership development.
  • Collaborate globally to advance enterprise-wide initiatives, including AI Centers of Excellence and autonomy strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate processes while fostering a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Promote an inclusive, performance-driven culture that encourages creativity and collaboration.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires 8+ years experience in relevant software product development; including 6+ years in technical and people leadership, including managing managers.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • A tinkerer, innovator, willing to push boundaries and challenge status quos, someone who brings and inspires can-do attitude.
  • Proven experience in DevOps, Security, Developer Experience, and AI/ML integration.
  • Track record of building scalable, secure systems and leading innovation initiatives.
  • Experience with Agile/Scaled Agile Framework and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, real-time systems, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Global team leadership experience.
