Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Media and Entertainment

Our team at NVIDIA builds pioneering AI models and deploys them as SDKs and microservices for video streaming and broadcasting. Our AI microservices are deployed on the NVIDIA Holoscan for Media platform for real-time video communication in broadcast environments. Our AI technologies are also offered in NVIDIA Broadcast App to enhance the video and voice in live streaming and video conferencing.

We are now looking for an outstanding manager to join the NVIDIA AI for Media engineering team. You will manage a team of brilliant engineers developing advanced deep learning technology pipelines to improve productivity and introduce artificial intelligence in Media broadcasting. You will influence our Media and Entertainment product offering with your experience and expertise.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supervise a team of engineers building next generation microservices and blueprints to enable scalable deployable cloud AI pipelines

  • Strive to keep your team motivated and productive by implementing and sustaining best practices

  • Closely collaborate with different deep learning software and hardware teams across NVIDIA to influence roadmaps and deliver solutions

  • Influence short term and long term decisions about the product with engineering expertise and visionary thinking

  • Engage with external partners to facilitate product adoption

  • Track metrics and make telemetry based informed decisions with stakeholder alignment

  • Expand the visibility of your teams work and keep collaborators informed about status, risks and pivots

  • Hire the best talent as needed to expand the product scope

What We Need To See:

  • MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • 10+ overall years of proven experience in software development and 5+ yrs of team management experience in building and leading highly performing teams

  • Experience with balancing technical depth and expertise with strategic decision making and influence

  • Ability to enforce code health, code reviews practices, establish testing and QA standards and improve overall engineering workflow productivity with the use of AI tools

  • Track record of mentorship and ability to attract, hire, mentor, and grow top-tier technical talent

  • Ability to coordinate, communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Research, SRE, security, sales, marketing, PLC, security teams.

  • Strong understanding of the broader market trends and the competitive landscape in the Media & Entertainment industry

  • Deep understanding of media pipelines, codecs (e.g., H.264, VP9), video streaming protocols (e.g., WebRTC, RTP)

  • Proficiency with cloud-native deployment containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus)

  • Hands on experience with programming languages such as Python, C++ , cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP and common container interfaces such as HTTP, gRPC, MCP, SMPTE ST 2110

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior experience with engineering in the Media and Entertainment industry

  • Background in AI pipelines for video use cases

  • Experience with CUDA

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
