What is the Opportunity?

Corporate Treasury Retail Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive and consistent FTP framework across the retail segments of the bank.  We provide risk-based pricing and profitability guidance to product and portfolio managers; transfer relevant risks out of a business to a central unit at a fair and transparent price and provide a consistent basis for measurement of product and portfolio profitability.

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Manager to join the Retail Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team.  In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing BAU reporting and FTP deliverables for RBC Retail segments (mainly Wealth Management), ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processes, and acting as a key point of contact for stakeholder inquiries.  You will work closely with various internal stakeholders including Corporate Treasury, Businesses, and Finance partners, and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making.  This position offers an opportunity to access one of the most important tools to execute the bank’s asset/liability management strategy and obtains valuable knowledge about banking product risks and profitability.  You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and continuous improvement.

We are looking for candidate that has a good understanding of finance and accounting concepts as well as excellent communication with ability to convey/explain complex topics.  Hands-on experience with data virtualization tool such as Tableau/ Power BI and VBA /Python coding will also be valuable.

What will you do?

  • Lead the preparation, validation, and delivery of routine FTP reports for RBC Wealth Management and Canadian Banking.
  • Act as a key liaison for FTP-related inquiries, providing clarity and resolving issues proactively for RBC Wealth Management.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including Corporate Treasury, Finance, and Business Units, to ensure alignment on FTP methodologies and reporting requirements.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and projects related to FTP, contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare documentation and control checks for 2nd line review and 3rd line audit.
  • Maintain and update documentation to reflect process changes and ensure transparency.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership when necessary.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in funds transfer pricing, financial reporting, treasury, or related fields.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and explain complicated topics.
  • Knowledge on treasury management of non-trading book products.
  • Proficient with excel and SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau/Power BI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process enhancements to drive efficiency.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with QRM.
  • Professional designation/certificate of CPA, CFA or FRM.
  • Ability to code via VBA or Python
