What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Director, Risk Credit Integrity Oversight (RCIO) Analytics, the Senior Manager, RCIO Analytics will lead a team of Analytic Consultants with various skillsets in Analytics and Business. The role provides subject matter expertise and analytical support to the Analytics team and Business Teams on various initiatives and projects, and ensures that appropriate data management, analysis, and reporting is performed to enhance operational effectiveness and support oversight on compliance to credit policies and procedures for the Quality Assurance team.

How you’ll succeed

  • Effective leadership - Lead a team that manages and produces data, analysis, reports and analytical insights with scope across all retail unsecured and secured lending portfolios, both CIBC and Simplii brands. Continually enhance team strength, set direction and inspire the team to pursue our goals while empowering ownership and ensuring accountability to do what’s right for our clients and our bank.

  • Complex analysis - Conduct larger and more complex analytics and insights reporting engagements to ensure quality, depth of analysis, and results are clearly communicated and insightful.

  • Relationship management - Partner with various stakeholders to understand and interpret business requirements, evaluate complex data relationships, and deliver outputs that meet business expectations. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and analytical insights.

  • Effective communication - Present insights to management up to executive level to support data-driven informed decision-making. Recommend modifications to policies, procedures, business rules and lending systems supported by in-depth analytics to mitigate loss while balancing growth opportunities.

Who you are

  • You have expertise in developing a data management and reporting infrastructure and capability on how to leverage data for analysis and strategy deployment.

  • You have working knowledge of lending policies, procedures, processes, and systems. Familiarity of secured and unsecured credit data as asset.

  • You have experience with analytic and reporting tools, such as SQL, Python, SAS, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, and Office tools such Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • You have a University Undergraduate / Graduate degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Compute Science, Mathematics or Economics.

  • You are a caring and accountable leader. You're passionate about developing and coaching to bring out the best in people. You have led diverse, high performing teams.

  • You have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to convey and present factual and conceptual information to all levels of the organization, from analyst to executive management.

  • You are highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects ensuring delivery of accurate and complete outputs within defined timelines. You have the ability to prioritize and independently execute assigned work.

  • Demonstrated strength liaising with highly technical departments so that system changes made are accurate and effective as well as business teams. Proven ability to bridge the knowledge gaps between Technology and the Business and be able to parley requirements and understanding between the two.
