Lead a team of Project Managers executing New Product Development Projects for the Front Line Care Division of Baxter.  Manage strategic aspects of global product development programs and projects from initiation to delivery. This role will identify and ensure the application of Project management best practice knowledge, tools, methodologies, and techniques to meet or surpass the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manages a team of Project Managers leading New Product Development Projects

  • Distributes PM workload to PMO personnel as appropriate.

  • Hire, develop and align technical talent to match business needs.  

  • Accountable for project execution and easily manages the "triple constraint" of scope, schedule, and resources for large complex projects and programs.  

  • Establishes effective mechanisms to track project status, risks and external spend and uses them systematically.  

  • Identifies new or existing tools and techniques for project resource estimation and collaborates with functional managers for effective project resource utilization. 

  • Actively participates in the development of annual budget and forecasts for the project/program.

  • Drives effective collaboration with external partners and participates in the outsourcing strategy and in developing new contractual agreements.

  • Develops and leverages partnerships across the globe and cross-functionally to achieve business results. 

  • Inspires and motivates others to perform at their best. 

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or local equivalent of same, generally, 12+ years’ experience (minimum 5).

  • Experience providing work direction to others as supervisor, peer coach, team lead, etc.

  • Proven ability to build realistic plans, including resource deployment.

  • Project Management practitioner experience strongly preferred.

  • For large, cross-functional and multi-year projects, effectively leads the team through the project lifecycle including planning, execution and close-out. 

  • Ensures sub-projects within the larger program are appropriately planned and resourced.

  • Ability to establish strategic direction and drive execution.

  • Understanding of team contribution to larger organization and impact on business strategy.

  • Expert product development process knowledge.

  • Ability to provide technical leadership and to apply project management discipline.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of audiences at all levels of the organization, tailoring detail and content accordingly.

  • PMP Certification or Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.

  • SAFE Agile certifications preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000 to $198,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
