Job Overview
The Senior HR Business Partner for Czechia will provide comprehensive HR support, advice, and expertise to business leaders and managers across assigned service areas, business units, and departments. This role is pivotal in building an attractive workplace, driving HR programs, and ensuring compliance with Czech labor law. The Senior HR Business Partner will anticipate long-term people-related needs and facilitate alignment between HR strategy and business objectives. The Senior HR Business Partner is team member of country leadership team, partnering to General Manager of the country, proactively supports collaboration across all departments and responsible for creating and driving people agenda for the country.
Essential Functions
Ensure proactive HR business partnering supporting business to deliver strategic and financial objectives
Take responsibility for complex HR workstreams and projects, proactively anticipating issues and identifying solutions that maximize value and impact for the business and employees.
Provide expert coaching and counseling to assigned business areas, leveraging data-driven insights to inform recommendations and deliverables. Set an example of good judgment and delivery in all HRPT and business interactions.
Challenge the status quo by actively sharing and implementing suggestions for improvement in HR processes, policies, and programs. Simplify complexity and drive successful change-management activities, scanning the external environment for innovative ideas relevant to Czechia.
Build and expand networks across HR specialist functions, Centers of Excellence, and business partners. Foster positive, trusted, and respectful relationships, considering diverse approaches and styles to bring out the best in others. Communicate complex messages succinctly and logically.
Identify areas for improvement and seek opportunities to stretch capabilities, both personally and within the HR team. Deliver and request constructive feedback, demonstrate learning agility, and provide guidance to more junior HRPT members.
Embrace a consulting approach with business and HR stakeholders, utilizing fundamental consulting skills and data-driven insights to enhance discussions and inform projects. Stay informed about industry trends and anticipate how changes may affect the business and HR.
Conduct reviews and propose recommendations regarding employment legislation, compliance, HR systems, practices, and procedures, ensuring alignment with Czech labor law and local requirements.
Participate in and lead organizational effectiveness and HR partnering change management efforts associated with reorganizations, mergers/acquisitions, and transfers, ensuring compliance and alignment with business strategy.
Support line managers in leveraging people processes to increase engagement, manage performance, retain talent, and increase efficiency.
Act as a key resource for international managers, offering support and guidance on people processes, workplace policies, and employee matters.
Collaborating with senior HR team members in the region and line management.
Proactively provide reports and analyses to senior management, maintaining a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in an HR partnering function or a combination of generalist and HR specialist experience.
Demonstrated business acumen, with the ability to align HR strategy to business goals.
Proven experience in change management and leading complex HR projects.
Tech-savvy, with experience in HRIS (e.g., Workday) and digital tools.
Strong partnership, advanced influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Effective leadership and project management skills.
Excellent problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage uncertainty and ambiguity.
Expert coaching and counseling abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; very good interpersonal and presentation skills.
High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
Fluent in Czech and English.
Previous experience in transitioning HR projects from transactional to strategic model is an advantage.
Employment will be fixed term as maternity replacement for approximately 2,5 years.
