SALARY: £83,411 - £107,943
LOCATION(S): Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Newport, Edinburgh, Halifax
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least
two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About this opportunity
The Senior Manager, PSR and BCOBS plays a pivotal role in supporting one of the UK’s largest financial services transformations. We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual to join the Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk (CCOR) team within the Risk Division, as we accelerate delivery across the Group’s transformation journey.
You’ll bring expertise in compliance, customer impact and change delivery. Confident stakeholder engagement is key and your ability to influence and support decision-makers will help ensure the delivery of good customer outcomes, aligned with Consumer Duty and Group standards.
Day to day, you will:
Manage relationships with risk and control owners and act as their specialist Risk business partner, while using support teams to help deliver against aligned customer, business and strategic outcomes.
Advocating for customers through concise, commercially sensitive advice to business areas on policy interpretation and regulations, utilising deep compliance expertise to co-create fantastic compliant solutions for customers and the Group working closely with the business.
Oversighting and supporting the delivery of new products and initiatives to meet the needs of risk and control owners, control specialist teams, Audit and external regulators.
Integral part of ensuring Group projects and initiatives succeed through supportive, business focused challenge.
Makes authoritative technical and/or professional recommendations that have a significant short-term and long-term impact on the business.
Support risk and control owners to address control deficiencies, identify and implement remedial actions following operational risk events and breaches.
Support control owners and specialists to implement control measures that are designed to achieve the control objectives.

What you’ll need:
Expert in applying Consumer Duty, Regulatory Sourcebooks (including BCOBS, PROD) and translating regulatory requirements (including the Payment Services Regulations) into language that is easy to understand.
Considered a subject matter expert with good understanding of the latest Compliance frameworks and technology, industry standards and established best practice to enable you to play a leadership role in a risk centre of excellence.
Expert drafting skills with deep expertise in preparing concise reports for senior level audiences, with clarity and precision.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience of bringing colleagues on the journey to inspire compliance and good customer outcomes
Ability to make good and timely decisions that keep the organisation moving forward and balance difficult trade-offs, provide independent challenge to risk decisions. Able to interpret new regulation and threats with forethinking to anticipate the impact of changes on the Group.
