Scope and Architectural Focus
The Sr. Manager owns and evolves product aligned solution architecture across following domains:
End‑to‑end solution design for strategic programs and complex initiatives spanning multiple product families (e.g. B2B, B2C, Platforms, Analytics), technology platforms and architectural domains
Cross‑domain integration and orchestration, ensuring solutions are coherent, composable, and executable across front‑end, domain services, event streaming, data, analytics, and AI‑enabled capabilities
Enhance client, crew, and developer experiences through incorporation of GenAI solutions
Architectural decision‑making for solution‑level trade‑offs involving scope, complexity, sequencing, risk, and technical debt
Alignment of solution designs to enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails defined in partnership with Domain Architecture
Core Responsibilities:
1. Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
2. Manages staff. Develops, mentors and provides guidance, training and motivation as necessary. Conducts regular one-on-one and staff meetings. Hires, evaluates and counsels crew. Follows corporate disciplinary procedures per established Vanguard standards as required. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback, and recommends wage increases in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures
3. Builds and develops a team of Product Architects. Allocates Architects across a portfolio of strategic initiatives. Works directly with Architects in conceptualizing business technology solutions that have the potential to produce transformational outcomes.
4. Continuously pursues advance-level technical acumen: establishes working relationships with strategic and boutique technology providers; leverages the Internet as a critical resource for related knowledge capital, ; attends conferences and engages in associated activities (e.g., conducting presentations, leading workshops, etc.)
5. Acts as an outstanding thought leader in primary area of responsibility.
6. Meets information architecture financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.
7. Builds commitment to information strategy by considering and evaluating different points of view, creating a cohesive argument
8. Confirms architecture capability and flexibility by developing analytical models; completing validation tests
9. Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
10. Leads discussions related to key application architecture decisions.
11. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of related work experience, in a global environment with at least three years in a technology architect role.
B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. M.Tech, MBA in Technology Management, preferred
Demonstrated experience in enterprise IT architecture strategy, vendor engagement, and systems integration.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a track record of influencing executive stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage teams and drive transformational initiatives in complex, enterprise environments.
