We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manager in Procurement and Supply Chain to join our expanding UK based team.
You will lead procurement strategy and execution for a dedicated customer account, acting as a trusted business partner to ensure suppliers deliver optimal value aligned with account objectives. Oversees sourcing, supplier performance, risk management, and compliance with procurement governance and policy. Collaborates with category management and internal stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes and continuous improvement.
Successful candidates are required to be UK Nationals with SC clearance or be eligible to obtain.
Key Responsibilities
- Trusted Business Partnership: Serves as a strategic advisor to the supported account, ensuring procurement activities are aligned with business goals. Builds strong relationships with account stakeholders to understand needs and ensure suppliers deliver the right value, innovation, and service levels.
- Strategic Procurement & Cost Management: Manages complex, high-value procurements with a focus on delivering consistent cost savings, operational efficiency, and business impact.
- Supplier Performance Management: Develops and monitors supplier performance against KPIs (e.g., delivery reliability, quality, cost, responsiveness). Drives corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure supplier accountability and value delivery.
- Category Management Collaboration: Partners with category managers to develop and execute sourcing strategies that reflect market dynamics and account-specific requirements.
- Supplier Risk Management: Identifies, assesses, and mitigates supplier risks including financial, operational, and compliance-related exposures. Implements risk controls and contingency plans to protect business continuity.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensures procurement activities adhere to internal governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. Maintains audit readiness and supports policy enforcement.
- Procurement Policy & Process Management: Develops, implements, and enforces procurement policies and procedures. Recommends and executes process improvements to enhance transparency, efficiency, and control.
- Vendor Selection & Relationship Management: Evaluates and maintains supplier relationships, recommending changes based on performance, strategic alignment, and risk profile. Builds senior-level relationships to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Negotiation & Contracting: Leads complex negotiations on pricing, delivery terms, and conditions. Manages RFP/RFI processes and ensures favorable commercial and operational outcomes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Works with internal teams including finance, operations, legal, and category management to ensure procurement strategies support broader business objectives.
Leadership & Mentorship: Provides guidance and support to less experienced procurement staff, fostering development, knowledge sharing, and high performance.
