What is the opportunity?
The PB Strategy team serves as thought partners to senior executives in PB, offering targeted support for the highest priority and most complex strategic problems, and helps to develop and articulate PB’s overall platform strategy and line of business strategies. The team also acts as a catalyst for platform transformation, cross-platform collaboration, and new capability development, and drives PB’s strategic agenda across the LOB, Operating Committee and Group Head levels. PB offers a dynamic, fast-paced, and exciting environment with unique exposure to distinct parts of bank. Working within a high-performance area of the bank, the team provides opportunities for skill development, career advancement, and the chance to work on the bank’s most ambitious initiatives.
What will you do?
Perform comprehensive strategic reviews and analyses leveraging frameworks, tools, and methodologies, and develop robust recommendations to support Personal Banking Group Head, PB Operating Committee, and lines of business
Ensure growth strategies are well developed, articulated, and aligned across businesses and with enterprise perspective/priorities, and proactively identify benefits such as revenue streams or cost savings opportunities
Support the annual enterprise strategic development process, business portfolio review, and related senior leader offsites/events to advance RBC’s strategy
Develop high-impact materials for Operating Committee, Personal Banking Group Head, and Board for review, discussion, and decision
Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders, facilitating trade-offs, prioritization, and critical decisions through rigorous research, analysis, and insight
Manage complex work streams and present engagement deliverables, raising risks / issues and providing solutions to minimize impact on timelines
What do you need to succeed?
Must -have:
MBA or graduate / post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent
2+ years of experience in Consulting, Product Roles, Financial Services, or Corporate Strategy
Demonstrated ability to own workstreams and problem-solve complex problems end-to-end working through ambiguous situations while driving to clarity and delivering high-impact results
Demonstrated ability to scope, manage, and implement strategy projects
Interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization
Strong written and oral presentation skills, a commanding presence, and advanced technical proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, complemented by business modeling experience.
