Dutch Bros

Senior Manager of Field Training

1930 W Rio Salado Pkwy Tempe AZ 85281 Full time

It's fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they are doing. At Dutch Bros Coffee, we are more than just a coffee company. We are a fun-loving, mind-blowing company that makes a difference one cup at a time.

Position Overview:

The Sr. Manager of Field Training is a high-impact leadership role sitting at the intersection of Strategy, Education, and Retail Operations. This particular role lives in Operations because its primary objective is to ensure that every initiative rolling out to the field is communicated and trained in a simple and effective way in order to enhance shop execution.

You are someone who understands that a Broista has a tiny window to learn a new skill. Consequently, you aren’t satisfied with "sit-down-and-watch-this" videos, and are a champion for mobile-first, just-in-time learning that happens exactly where the work does. While you will partner with Instructional Designers for technical support, you own the final product. You act as the bridge for our field teams by finding synergies across departments, and you ensure our training pathways are lean, cutting-edge, and built for the high-speed reality of retail.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or a related field. We value the theory; we need you to apply it to a fast-paced retail environment.

  • 7–10+ years of experience in Learning & Development (L&D) or Curriculum Design, with at least 3-5 years specifically supporting Food & Beverage, Retail, Hospitality, or Field Operations.

  • Proven experience managing a team of trainers or specialists. You know how to coach the coaches.

  • Expert-level experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and a deep understanding of how to use data/analytics to track training ROI and field readiness.

Location Requirement:
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

  • Drive the roadmap for field training. Align every curriculum and learning pathway directly with the company’s business plan and shop-level KPIs.

  • Act as the ultimate filter for the field. You find the synergy between different department messages to ensure our shop teams aren't overwhelmed by "noise."

  • Rely heavily on field feedback to audit and improve training effectiveness.

  • Use LMS data and shop performance metrics to prove that training is working—or to pivot when it isn't.

  • Ensure all materials are written in a voice that resonates with the shop floor, engaging, concise, and culturally Dutch Bros.

  • Review all curriculum packages for brand alignment and educational outcomes before they hit the field.
