The Importance of the Role

The Senior Manager, Medical Operations & Platform Management is an operational leader within Global Medical Affairs (GMA), responsible for driving operational excellence across International Engagement and RNA therapies. This role will help lay the operational foundation for future expansion of Medical Affairs platforms, requiring scalable processes that can support increasing scientific complexity across Sarepta’s evolving pipeline. This role oversees planning, execution, and governance of key initiatives. The Senior Manager will partner with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, manage resources, and support the delivery of high-quality outputs that support Sarepta’s mission and scientific engagement strategy. The Senior Manager reports to the Associate Director and may support GMA’s enterprise operations, as needed.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

International Engagement Operations Lead + GMA Operations Support

  • Provide leadership support for the Executive Director, Global Medical Affairs, International Engagement in planning, executing, and communicating outside US (OUS) medical activities for the International Engagement business.
  • Lead project management and operational support for the International Engagement business.Establish operational objectives and develop plans and timelines in consultation with leadership
  • Track actions and activities across International Engagement  
  • Manage Medical Review Committee submissions for OUS materials
  • Ensure accessibility of materials for internal and external partners, as appropriate
  • Coordinate Field Medical Affairs’ congress coverage
  • Manage vendor or contractor support to fulfill applicable administrative and operational needs.
  • Develop timelines, milestones, and deliverables; assign responsibilities across internal leads and external vendors.
  • Maintain and update operational processes, charters, and/or SOPs to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage systems and processes and drive enhancements for user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Manage vendors and budgets for the International Engagement function.
  • Create, maintain, and update dashboard to track International Engagement key performance indicators and insights.

Platform Management: RNA Therapies

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of medical initiatives across GMA in collaboration with Medical Strategy.
  • Partner with the Medical Strategy function and cross-functional teams to plan for data disclosures (i.e. project manage development of materials for internal and external audience).
  • Coordinate internal communications and meetings: agenda development, note-taking, action tracking, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive execution of key projects and initiatives and ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee resource allocation and ensure timely MRC submissions.
  • Manage platform budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Lead vendor and contract management for applicable deliverables; ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Support governance processes for publications, PRC/MRC submissions, and external engagements.
  • Provide input into GMA reporting for leadership and cross-functional teams.

More about You

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with at least 7-9 years of applicable business experience within clinical/health care, pharmaceutical industry, project management or related field
  • Previous project management experience and skill and experience executing strategic plans
  • Knowledge of Medical Affairs preferred
  • Strong ability to multi-task and drive forward movement on multiple projects at the same time; ability to work with fast paced, collaborative, cross-functional teams
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks/issues and suggest solutions
  • Ability to learn and execute on new processes
  • Proven track record of proactive problem solving and strong tactical execution
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communications
  • Ability to succeed in an ambiguous environment
  • Comfort supporting medical operations in the context of novel or emerging therapeutic approaches
  • Strong ability to build partnerships across functions

  • Ability to travel into the Cambridge office as needed

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $136,000 - $170,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta’s compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.
