Job Description Summary:

The Senior Manager, Media Operations – Korea is a stand‑alone, high‑impact role responsible for developing and executing end‑to‑end media and connection plans for an assigned brand or communication initiative. This role owns media strategy, media buying, and media operations, while also leading consumer activation and national promotion planning as part of an integrated IMX approach. 

Acting as the IMX media lead for the responsible brand, this role works hands‑on with IMX partners (Content, Design, Social), agencies, bottlers, and global teams to translate brand strategies into clear, executable, and high‑performing media and activation plans. The role requires a leader who is strategically sharp, operationally rigorous, and highly agile. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Media Strategy & Connection Planning 

  • Develop end‑to‑end media and connection strategies for the assigned brand, aligned with brand objectives and ABP priorities. 

  • Integrate media, consumer activation, sales promotion, and experiential touchpoints into a cohesive connection plan. 

  • Serve as the IMX media lead within brand IMX projects, working closely with Content, Design, Social, and E2EE teams. 

 

Media Buying & Operations 

  • Own media planning, buying strategy, and execution management, leveraging strong knowledge of the Korea media landscape. 

  • Manage media agencies and partners to ensure high‑quality execution, optimization, and delivery against communication KPIs. 

  • Monitor and optimize media performance across channels, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency. 

 

Consumer Activation & National Promotion 

  • Lead planning and execution of consumer activation and national promotion programs in close coordination with Brand and E2EE teams. 

  • Ensure media and activation plans are tightly linked to drive consumer engagement and purchase. 

 

Budget & Performance Management 

  • Own and manage DME budgets related to media and national promotions for the assigned brand. 

  • Ensure disciplined budget control, ROI focus, and strong performance tracking. 

 

System & Cross‑Functional Collaboration 

  • Support the Category Lead in driving system alignment with bottlers on media, sales promotion, and experiential execution plans. 

  • Collaborate closely with Brand, IMX functions, agencies, and global partners to ensure integrated and effective execution. 

 

Capability Contribution & Market Expertise 

  • Contribute to the development of connection planning and media capabilities across the organization, including: 

  • Media strategy and buying frameworks 

  • Competitive and market analysis 

  • Joint business planning with global digital media partners 

  • Local media and platform partnerships 

 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Over 11 years of experience in media strategy, media planning/buying, or integrated marketing roles. 

  • Strong hands‑on expertise in media buying and operations, with deep knowledge of the Korea media landscape. 

  • Experience working as part of IMX or integrated marketing teams. 

  • Proven ability to translate brand strategies into clear, compelling, and executable media solutions aligned with ABP. 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence brand and category leaders. 

  • Solid experience managing budgets, agencies, and external partners. 

  • Strong understanding of consumer and shopper behavior related to media and sales promotion. 

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate and optimize media performance. 

  • Working knowledge of Korean legal and regulatory requirements related to advertising and promotions. 

  • Native‑level Korean required; business‑level fluency in English required.
