Role Summary
The One HP Retail Media Lead is responsible for developing and executing retail media strategies that drive sales growth and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS) across key retail partners and categories. This role acts as the strategic connector between Alliance Partners, Retail Growth Managers (RGMs), Media Planners, and internal stakeholders to ensure media investments are aligned to business priorities, executed with accuracy, and reported with impact. This One HP role serves the Print, Consumer PS and Gaming PC/Peripheral categories for the US.
Develop and execute full-funnel retail media strategies to drive incremental sales and maximize ROAS across priority retailers and platforms.
Translate business objectives across all categories into clear media direction, ensuring alignment across tactics, SKUs, campaigns, and budget allocations.
Partner closely with Retail Growth Managers (RGMs) to brief the media team on priority SKUs, budget guidance, and recommended media mix.
Serve as a key liaison between Alliance Partners, Media Planners, RGMs, and internal cross-functional teams (DBDs, Omni, Analysts, Category) to ensure consistent communication and alignment.
Collaborate closely with Media Planners to funnel updates, key initiatives, and strategic priorities from Alliance Partners, leadership, and RGMs into actionable media plans.
Partner with RGMs on retailer-specific media programs including Best Buy Ads (BBY Ads) and Walmart Connect, with RGMs acting as the primary point of contact for Sales.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of media recommendations across tactics, SKUs, campaigns, and budget allocations.
Review and validate media plans to confirm alignment with strategic objectives, funding sources, and execution standards.
Own retail media budget management, including the creation and oversight of shared activities and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Ensure accurate tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of media spend across Alliance Partners and retailers.
Maintain budget transparency and support ongoing optimization and reallocation discussions.
Lead quarterly Alliance Plan reporting, including both digital and in-store media components.
Deliver clear, concise quarterly share-outs to Alliance Partners highlighting performance, insights, and key learnings.
Partner with Media Planners and Analytics teams to translate performance data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Support ongoing Alliance Partner relationships by ensuring media strategies, investments, and reporting meet agreed objectives.
Act as a trusted media advisor to Alliance Partners, helping guide planning, performance reviews, and future opportunities.
Strong experience in retail media strategy, planning, and activation across major retail media networks.
Relevant Experience between and 7-10 years.
Proven ability to manage complex budgets, SOWs, and shared funding models.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working alongside sales, marketing, media, and external partners.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, governance, and execution excellence.
Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly for executive- and partner-facing readouts.
Experience with platforms such as Criteo, Amazon Ads, Best Buy Ads, Walmart Connect or Google Ads strongly preferred.
The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
