JOB SUMMARY:  

Trace3’s Management Consulting team partners with client executives to translate business priorities into technology strategies, roadmaps, and transformational programs that deliver measurable outcomes. This position will work on projects that address a broad range of client challenges including IT strategy, technology modernization, digital transformation, and operational improvement.   

The Senior Manager, Management Consulting owns executive relationships for one or more strategic accounts, driving new business development, overseeing program delivery (with emphasis on technology transformation and custom application initiatives), and developing high-performing consulting talent. They orchestrate cross-functional teams, ensure value realization, and manage revenue and portfolio performance across their accounts. This role blends account leadership, program delivery excellence, and people leadership to grow client impact and Trace3 revenue. 

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

 Account Leadership and Business Development 

  • Serve as the consulting leader working with the Digital Account team for designated strategic accounts; support the development of account plans, support the growth of opportunity pipeline, and expand services across Trace3 capabilities (cloud, application development, data/analytics, security, AI).  
  • Partner with Sales to lead pursuits, shape go-to-market strategies, develop proposals/SOWs/LOEs, and close opportunities; consistently drive revenue growth and portfolio margin targets.  
  • Identify high priority business use cases and translate them into actionable roadmaps and investment cases; influence executive stakeholders through compelling presentations and workshops 
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand into new services and engagements, proactively recommending innovative approaches that deliver added value for clients. 
  • Support the growth of the Digital Consulting team and platform through helping drive the ongoing development and maturation of Digital Products and Solutions.   
  • Own financial performance across assigned accounts, including forecasting, margin management, investment trade-offs, and delivery prioritization within approved budgets. 

 

Technology Transformation and Program Leadership 

  • Lead complex, cross functional technology programs with an emphasis on technology transformation (Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, etc.) and modernization; set delivery methodology, governance, and success criteria.  
  • Orchestrate Product Owners, BAs/BSAs, architects, engineers, QA/Testing, and Release Management; establish sprint cadences, backlogs, and multi workstream delivery plans.  
  • Own scope, schedule, budget, RAID, dependencies, and decision facilitation; create executive dashboards and transparent status for benefits, risks, and spending.  
  • Oversee quality gates across SDLC; guide test strategy (unit, integration, system, UAT), defect triage, and cutover/release planning; ensure compliance in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare).  
  • Collaborate closely with client sponsors and other leaders on the design of enterprise-wide technology initiatives to accelerate strategic objectives. 
  • Develop enterprise technology strategies and roadmaps with recommendations based on client needs, leading practices, and emerging vendor solutions. 
  • Design effective operating models that describe how clients can organize their resources and processes to execute their strategic technology roadmap. 

 

Strategy, Architecture, and Value Realization 

  • Develop enterprise technology strategies and operating models aligned to business outcomes; guide build vs. buy decisions and alignment of solution/integration/data architectures and non-functional requirements.  
  • Lead organizational change management and adoption planning to drive measurable value realization and operational readiness.  

 

Talent Leadership and Consulting Excellence 

  • Build, mentor, and evaluate consulting teams; foster collaboration, accountability, and delivery excellence; provide coaching and career development.  
  • Ensure quality and consistency of solutions across engagements; contribute to methods, governance, and continuous improvement.  
  • Support development of repeatable frameworks, offerings, and market collateral for scalable go to market motions.  
  • Directly manage team members; hold accountability for performance management, compensation recommendations, promotions, and succession planning within assigned teams. 
  • Conduct performance feedback, coaching, and development planning for team members; provide input into performance evaluations, compensation decisions, and promotion readiness. 

 

Collaboration and Cross-BU Integration 

  • Coordinate with Trace3 practices (Cloud, Security, Data/AI, Managed Services) to design and deliver integrated, cross-portfolio solutions aligned to client and account strategies.  
  • Partner with account teams to identify and qualify net-new opportunities; maintain strong stakeholder relationships internally and with clients.  

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably Master’s degree, in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 10+ years of work experience in management or technology consulting. 
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in one or more industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services, technology, manufacturing, etc.) 
  • Practical knowledge of modern technology solutions in the following categories: 
  • Business Applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, productivity tools) 
  • Cloud Platforms and Services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) 
  • IT Infrastructure  
  • Cybersecurity 
  • Software Development and Integration 
  • Emerging Technologies (e.g., AI, Agentic AI, Platform Engineering, etc.) 
  • Team oriented and collaborative working style, with clients and colleagues. 
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage other consultants to achieve project objectives and deliver successful projects. 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills, and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment. 
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills with an ability to present technical issues to executives and non-technical audiences. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
