Senior Manager, Leadership & Learning - Corporate

The opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Leadership & Learning, the Senior Manager, Leadership & Learning plays a key role in shaping, governing and delivering OTPP’s enterprise leadership and learning strategy while also assessing, developing and delivering broader talent, leadership and learning priorities for Member Services and Corporate client groups. This role provides enterprise-level leadership to enterprise programs such as Teachers’ Academy, onboarding, leadership development, and learning technology and partners across the Talent COE, bringing strategic direction and advisory oversight to execute initiatives that build capability, foster career development, and enable business performance within client groups.   

Who you'll work with

As a member of the Talent COE, you will collaborate with the Director, Leadership & Learning, Senior Manager, Leadership & Learning - Investments, Global Business Partners, colleagues across the COEs, and colleagues across OTPP, including MDs and Directors, as required, to advance leadership, learning, and talent priorities.  You will provide functional leadership, prioritization, and strategic direction to the Talent Coordinator to ensure enterprise programs and initiatives are executed in alignment with defined standards and priorities, and will partner with external vendors, as needed, to set direction, oversee delivery and ensure quality outcomes for leadership, learning and talent solutions. 

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with Director, Leadership & Learning and Global Business Partners to conduct needs analysis and define, advise on, and oversee bespoke leadership, learning, and talent solutions to assigned client groups. 

  • Act as an enterprise subject matter authority and advisor on leadership development, learning and talent. 

  • Co-design and deliver, with Director, enterprise leadership development programs offered through Teachers’ Academy, including strategic input, content creation, facilitation, and sustainment activities. 

  • Provide strategic ownership and direction to the full enterprise Onboarding program, including setting direction for Orientation and associated enterprise events and defining continuous improvement, while logistics and administration are executed by the Talent Coordinator.

  • Manage program execution for Teachers’ Academy, including communications, and providing strategic oversight of logistics, project plans, vendor coordination, and budget tracking executed by Coordinator. 

  • Expert facilitation of enterprise-wide leadership and learning programs (e.g., orientation, leadership workshops, DEI education, Career FUNDamentals) and bespoke team-based interventions, aligned with adult learning best practices for a corporate environment. Provide coaching and guidance to internal and external facilitators to ensure alignment with enterprise learning standards and quality expectations.  

  • Partner with MDs and Directors to define, design and guide implementation of strategic talent initiatives such as career development, internal mobility, and high-potential programming for client groups as needed. 

  • Develop and execute communication strategies to drive program awareness and engagement across the enterprise, including editorial calendar, overseeing updates to People Leader Portal, Teachers’ Academy calendar and session highlights.  

  • Collaborating with People Operations, recommend enhancements and optimization for learning technologies, leveraging deep expertise in Workday Learning, advanced content curation capabilities, strong understanding of learning catalogue product roadmaps (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, Harvard Business Publishing), and proactive monitoring of emerging trends and innovations in the learning technology ecosystem. 

  • Provide functional leadership, prioritization and quality oversight to the Talent Coordinator to ensure alignment and execution of priorities. 

  • Additional duties as assigned. 

What you'll need

  • Strong knowledge of leadership development, onboarding, and enterprise learning strategies. 

  • Exceptional facilitation, coaching, advisory, communication, skills; ability to build relationships across levels. 

  • Experience managing programs and projects, including budget oversight and vendor management. 

  • Advanced University degree in Business, Leadership Development, Human Resource Management, Education, or related field. 

  • Coaching certification and experience with assessment tools (e.g., SuccessFinder, Hogan, 360 feedback) preferred. 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HR, leadership development, or talent management within a large, complex organization. 

  • Familiarity with learning technologies (LMS/LXP) and digital learning platforms. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and operate within a global, matrixed structure.
