At Collins Aerospace, our Power and Controls division is searching for a Senior Customer Program Manager (PM) to lead a major program within the Engine Control Systems (ECS), Large Commercial Program team. As a Senior PM, you will lead a Program Management Team (PMT), and ensure seamless management of the contract, cost, schedule, performance, and on-time delivery throughout the life cycle of the program from inception to completion. This includes everything from pursuit and order capture, design, and development, produce to deliver, service/support, and long-term strategic business planning. You will also hold Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility and serve as the face of the organization to internal and external customers.

This is a hybrid role based in Windsor Locks, CT.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a large/complex program to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility and recommend appropriate adjustments.
  • Provide timely communication with team members, executives, and customers.
  • Responsible for the overall customer relationship, satisfaction, and value stream business performance.
  • Indirectly lead a matrixed value stream Program Management Team (PMT) including contracts, engineering, quality and operations.
  • Establish milestones, develop, and own program plans, schedules, budgets, and monitor allocation of resources.
  • Provide input to new business growth strategies.
  • Provide input to strategic planning efforts for complex programs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance to protect the organization’ interests.
  • Communicate program activity, and status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel as needed

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Experience influencing large, cross-functional or matrixed teams across multiple disciplines and geographies.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience leading development or production programs, including ownership of P&L responsibilities and direct customer engagement.
  • Experience with Engine Controls Systems products, including design, integration, lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to track program performance and ensure alignment with budget and schedule objectives.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
