Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Field Operations Supervisor at the Sediment Technology and Reuse (STAR) Facility on Fort Armistead Road near Curtis Bay, MD within the Environmental Dredging and Restoration Group. MES operates this site on behalf of the Maryland Port Administration. The site is a former industrial facility in the planning, remediation and development phases for a facility to dry and process harbor dredged material for innovative reuse.Estimated Pay Range:
$60,782.49 - $83,575.93

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited High School or a GED, plus 6 years operating heavy equipment or plus 6 years of progressively responsive experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment or working in field operations applicable to the hiring facility. This experience must include a lead role in field operations, recycling/solid waste, or construction activities.
Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points, the ability to lift 50lbs, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate is familiar with the operation of dozers, excavators, and dump trucks, reading and interpreting construction plans, wastewater treatment practices, and Microsoft Suite applications. Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is a plus.
