Role Summary:
A strategic and execution‑focused H\&S leader responsible for safeguarding Sales and Office employees by managing travel risks, emergency preparedness, compliance, and safety culture through strong stakeholder engagement and value‑driven leadership.
The Sr. Manager – Health & Safety will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs specifically for employees working in Sales Functions and Corporate Offices. The role focuses on mitigating travel-related risks for Sales employees and ensuring robust emergency management systems for office employees.
Roles and Responsibility:
1. Safety Program Development & Execution
Design and implement safety programs tailored for Sales employees, addressing risks associated with:
Road travel (company car, two-wheeler, hired vehicles)
Train travel
Hazards at customer sites during visits
Develop office safety programs focusing on:
Emergency preparedness (fire safety, evacuation drills)
Ergonomics and workstation assessments
Medical emergency response systems
2. Risk Assessment & Mitigation
Conduct risk assessments for travel and customer site visits.
Establish controls and guidelines for safe travel practices.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and legal requirements.
3. Vehicle Safety Management
Establish and implement vehicle inspection protocols for company-owned and hired vehicles.
Define vehicle selection criteria for hired vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Monitor vehicle condition, maintenance schedules, and driver safety practices.
Conduct periodic audits of vehicle safety compliance.
4. Incident Management
Drive transparent reporting of incidents and near misses.
Lead thorough investigations and implement corrective actions.
Share learnings across teams to prevent recurrence.
5. Compliance & Audits
Ensure adherence to all statutory health and safety regulations.
Maintain documentation and records for audits and inspections.
6. Training & Awareness
Develop and deliver safety training programs for Sales and Office employees.
Promote safety awareness through campaigns and communication.
7. Emergency Management
Implement fire safety systems and conduct evacuation drills.
Coordinate medical emergency preparedness, including first aid and tie-ups with hospitals.
8. Reporting & Analysis
Assist Head – Health & Safety in preparing monthly safety performance presentations.
Analyze safety data and recommend improvements.
Requirement:
10-12 Years of relevant experience in safety.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Safety or related field.
Professional certifications in Health & Safety (CLI/RLI, NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.).
