At Westpac New Zealand, we are creating better futures together. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring and Regulatory Reporting capability within Risk.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for shaping strategy, strengthening the control environment and providing strong second line oversight across transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
You will lead a specialist team delivering transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting oversight.
You will develop and drive a multi‑year strategy and annual plans for financial crime risk management, while strengthening and uplifting the regulatory reporting control environment, including PTR and ISO20022 impacts.
You will own standards, tolerances and frameworks for transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting, partner closely with Line 1 Financial Crime Operations and senior stakeholders across the bank, and provide insight on industry best practice to help future‑proof Westpac’s financial crime model.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
10+ years’ experience in risk assurance and or controls assurance, along with strong banking or regulated financial services experience.
Proven people leadership capability, deep experience in risk management, complex analysis and problem solving, and the confidence to provide constructive challenge at senior leadership level.
Experience in financial crime governance, policy and oversight, strategy development and implementation, and strong written and verbal communication skills will be highly regarded.
