Job Description:

Asia Regional Office Management Reporting

  • Lead period-end management reporting of Asia Regional Office:

  • Prepare financial analysis and reporting materials for Finance Review Meeting & Asia Business Review

  • Perform reasonableness check on accounting entries posted by the RO Manila financial reporting team and perform TM1 uploads

  • Prepare KPI report and commentaries to analyze the actual spends against budget

  • Prepare accurate monthly forecasts through close liaison with the business functions and the Finance Business Partner of Chief Information and Digital Office, and Chief Client and Distribution Office.

  • Calculate quarterly FMM governance cost and commentary for reporting to Corporate team

  • Support regular transfer pricing study updates and governance costs allocation methodology refresh.

  • Liaise with Asia Business Units' Finance team on annual enablement costs recharge and enablement costs allocation methodology refresh.

  • Review/Prepare period-end and monthly expense management and FP&A reports of ARO (incl. MER) with commentaries for reporting to Corporate Finance, Asia expense management team, FP&A team and Asia function leaders

  • Support the Hyperion Financial Planning Project to ensure proper transition from TM1 to Hyperon for Asia expenses reporting

Finance Business Partnership
  • Act as finance partner of corporate functions in the RO.

  • Prepare management reports by function and discuss with Functions leaders or designated cost centre owners to provide business insights

  • Establish operating guidelines and procedure for expenses management in the regional office

  • Review of expenses vs budget and highlight unbudgeted spends and escalation to Finance executives

  • Meet with key stakeholders such as HR team and function team leads to perform reforecast of spends on a monthly basis

Business Planning
  • Lead the Annual Business Plan template preparation, circulation and consolidation

  • Prepare the 5 year Strategy Plan based on the latest business strategies and direction from management

Preferred skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, in particular strong stakeholder management skills

  • Solid management reporting (including FP&A) experience

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Solid Knowledge about the operations of FP&A application (e.g. TM1 and Hyperion), and accounting systems (e.g. SAP)

  • Proficiency in spoken and spoken English

  • Capable of multitasking and working under stress

Qualifications

  • University graduate with major of business administration, accounting, finance, economics, etc. with at least 8 years of working experience

  • Preferably working experiences gained in audit firms, consulting firms and/or sizable multinational companies

  • Knowledge of financial services industry (e.g. insurance and asset management) is preferred

  • CA or CPA is required
