You will:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Central Operations team.

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve retail operating procedures, ensuring consistency, simplicity, and compliance across the store network.

  • Drive operational efficiency through process simplification

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Loss Prevention, Waste and Markdown, Compliance, People Team etc.) to support retail initiatives and ensure flawless execution in stores.

  • Act as the voice of the store teams at Asda House, ensuring that operational changes are store-friendly and customer-focused.

  • Manage feedback loops and continuous improvement based on store input and performance data.

  • Support the development and execution of the retail operating model, ensuring alignment with business growth and transformation plans.

  • Input into key cross-functional projects (e.g., Waste and Availability Initiatives, Process redesigns, Loss Prevention trials).

  • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and improved customer experience.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Central Operations team.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

  • Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics to track and improve operational outcomes.
