Intro Summary of the Role

The Senior Manager, Digital Commerce leads the digital marketing and digital commerce functions, directly managing teams across content and design, content management, product data, and eCommerce production support. This working‑manager role also includes hands‑on ownership of eCommerce product management and agile project delivery. The position is responsible for understanding customer needs and translating them into digital initiatives that drive sales, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience across the Bioscience website, eCommerce platform, and related applications.

The Senior Manager partners closely with developers, UX designers, commercial platform product owners, and business stakeholders to define digital roadmaps and execute cross‑functional programs. The role requires operating at both the strategic level—identifying opportunities and shaping digital vision—and the tactical level—analyzing data, solving problems, and driving execution. Through strong leadership and technical expertise, this role ensures delivery of scalable, high‑value digital solutions that support organizational growth.

What You Will Do

  • Manage cross functional digital team accountable to sales, marketing and commercial operations stakeholders.

  • Translates business goals and end user needs into digital product strategy; communicates direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners

  • Develops and manages the product roadmap, demonstrating expertise at the product level, building partnerships with relevant stakeholder teams, and making trade-off decisions for a product

  • Identifies goals, metrics and analytics to support business case development; continually makes recommendations and refinements to the product roadmap and backlog based on learnings

  • Creates, prioritizes and accepts user stories; participates in release planning and deployments

  • Manages and grooms the product backlog; makes future decisions based on the business value that will be delivered

  • Participates/leads Agile ceremonies including standups, roadmap planning sessions, product demos, and retrospectives

  • Identifies and considers pros, cons, issues, obstacles, upstream and downstream dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements.

  • Monitors the competitive landscape to identify innovative solutions to develop a best-in-class digital platform

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years experience working in an Agile software development setting.

  • Agile or Scrum certification preferred

  • Product owner certification required

  • SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) experience required

  • SAP Product Cockpit PCM experience preferred.

  • Experience in Life Sciences/Biotech preferred
