We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Digital Catalog Operations Manager leads the operational lifecycle of a complex portfolio of life sciences products that spans multiple internal and external suppliers. This role is responsible for optimizing product presentation, ensuring accurate and compliant scientific content, and driving measurable improvements in digital performance across technical product categories.

This leader will also advance the organization’s readiness for AI-driven discovery by ensuring product content is structured, authoritative, and optimized for visibility in generative AI search environments, while leveraging AI-enabled workflows to enhance quality, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Catalog & Data Management

  • Own end-to-end product catalog lifecycle: SKU setup, enrichment, updates, and retirement

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of product attributes, specifications, pricing, and digital assets

  • Optimize content standards at a taxonomy level, to better support navigation and product discoverability

  • Drive data quality standards, validation rules, and governance processes

  • Leverage analytics to improve conversion, engagement, and revenue performance

  • AI-Ready Content Strategy & Discoverability

  • Ensure product content is structured, semantically rich, and technically authoritative to support discoverability by generative AI engines and AI-powered search platforms

  • Partner with SEO and digital teams to implement schema markup, metadata standards, and structured data models that improve machine interpretability

  • Establish content standards that prioritize clarity, specificity, and citation-ready scientific information

  • Monitor emerging AI search trends and adjust content strategy to maintain visibility in AI-driven discovery channels

AI-Enabled Operational Excellence

  • Lead adoption of generative AI tools to enhance New Product Introduction quality, speed, and scalability while maintaining regulatory standards

  • Implement AI-assisted workflows for content QA, metadata enrichment, taxonomy validation, and content gap identification

  • Establish governance frameworks for responsible AI usage, including review checkpoints, validation protocols, and compliance safeguards

  • Measure and improve operational efficiency through automation and AI-supported content audits

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and develop a global team of digital content specialists

  • Build AI fluency within the team through training and best-practice frameworks

  • Foster a culture of innovation balanced with scientific rigor and compliance

  • Maintain documentation of processes, data standards, and workflows

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key digital partner to external Suppliers, Portfolio, Product Management, Regulatory, Marketing and Operations teams

  • Align merchandising execution with go-to-market strategies and commercialization timelines

  • Influence stakeholders to balance speed-to-market with quality, compliance, and AI-readiness

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track operational KPIs (e.g., data accuracy, performance, time-to-publish, defect rates, completeness scores)

  • Identify process gaps and drive improvements in catalog operations

  • Lead initiatives to improve digital revenue through product portfolio enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, Life Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 8+ years of experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce, or content strategy

  • 3+ years of people leadership experience

  • Experience managing complex technical product catalogs

Preferred:

  • Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare, or other regulated industries

  • Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, and SEO best practices

  • Experience implementing generative AI tools within digital content operations

  • Proficiency with enterprise PIM and DAM platforms
