In this role, you will:
Collaborate with underwriting management in the establishment and execution of underwriting and pricing strategies, including analyzing business segment performance (profitability, growth, retention and automation).
Ensure the integrity of the underwriting teams’ risk selection and pricing decisions, including Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of underwriting guidelines, underwriting pricing tools, and pricing strategies and making recommendations for enhancements.
Collaborate across company divisions to resolve underwriting issues, assess regulatory changes, and drive agreement on updates to underwriting policies and procedures.
Partner with Regional offices to enhance the skills of underwriters and improve productivity, including making regional office visits to ensure working relationship between corporate and field underwriting staff. Be a technical resource to underwriting staff.
The successful candidate must have:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent education, training, or experience.
At least seven years of experience in insurance underwriting (workers' compensation experience is preferred) or equivalent education, training, or experience.
The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Base Pay Range: $150,049.65 - $185,355.45 Per YearTexas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
