Senior Manager, Commercial Finance

Regeneron's Corporate Finance group is seeking a leading business partner to the Commercial functions responsible for supporting financial and operational decisions that may impact product and business unit revenue. In this exciting role you will be responsible for the generation, analysis, tracking and dissemination of the commercial revenue forecasts, analyzing actual sales performance and providing related insights for the company’s marketed and new Rare Disease & Cardiometabolic products, including providing oversight for the brand(s) P&L.

A Typical Day in the Role Of Sr Manager Might Look Like:

  • Build and maintain patient-based forecast model applying a mix of epidemiology, secondary data, and primary market research-based sources resulting in detailed patient flow buildout and all relevant variables to produce and analyze revenue forecasts.
  • Convert assumptions to demand sales units, gross and net sales.
  • Understand and analyze actuals, perform revenue variance analysis to isolate and articulate performance drivers.
  • Work closely with Commercial Business Unit leaders, their teams and other internal partners to ensure forecast models, associated scenarios and outputs reflect all relevant assumptions and information related to products and indications covered.
  • Assist Finance leadership and Senior Management colleagues with understanding sales performance with all underlying components and layers (net, gross, price, volume/demand, market share etc.).
  • Stay abreast of market dynamics and competitive landscape for brand including commercial, regulatory, research and development events for competing products and product candidates.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, modeling and presentations.
  • Prepare financial reports and packages with financials, charts and other elements/visuals as needed for senior management. Prepare ad-hoc presentations for meetings with stakeholders.
  • Assist in gathering, analyzing, and maintaining Commercial brand team budgets and quarterly reforecasts as part of managing the broader brand P&L.
  • Provide financial oversight of annual budgeting process and the building of brand P&Ls across the Rare Disease & CV portfolio.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all Regeneron standards operating procedures and policies, as well as governmental and industry regulations governing the sales, marketing, and overall commercialization of prescription pharmaceuticals.

This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related field, Master’s Degree or MBA preferred. 8-10 years of progressive industry/relevant professional experience; 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing, product management, or related experience preferred. Strong leadership skills including meeting facilitation, cross-functional team integration, strategic thinking, and advising a plus. Prior sales forecasting experience in biotech/pharma is required for this role. Basic understanding of Commercialization of products in Biotech/Pharma industry preferred. Understanding of Finance and Accounting principles and extensive experience with MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint preferred. Experience with Oracle platform (Hyperion) in an administrative capacity a plus.

Salary Range (annually)

$134,400.00 - $219,200.00
