Senior Manager, Chip Factory Planning

We are looking for a Senior Chip Factory Planning Manager, who is a driven individual that can Lead a team and excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment based in NVIDIA Hsinchu Office.  Part of the Silicon Operation team, the Hsinchu factory team has been able to drive all the subcontractors to meet / exceed all the key performance index and achieve operational excellence.

What you'll be doing:

  • You will act as a link between our master scheduling team and our key chip subcontractors to ensure the daily and weekly production schedule get executed as planned.

  • Often times there will be issues related to the specs, business process, and data variance that need to be clarified. You will lead factory planning's efforts to communicate between different internal departments and our external partners to clarify such issues.

  • You will provide guidance for factory planning to work with other silicon operations teams to continue fine tuning the production best practices to improve the subcontractors’ performance.  Examples include 1) setting optimal lot size, 2) production loading cadence, 3) ideal product mix, 4) rules for prioritization, etc.

  • You will monitor the subcontractors’ performance continuously to ensure all KPI targets are met.  You will give directions to the planners on how to identify the person in charge and drive the PICs for implementing improvement plans. You will host a weekly meeting with the operations team senior management and go through the subcontractors’ overall performance.  You will give the leadership team proposals on how to remove roadblocks and resolve issues by implementing relevant corrective action plans.

  • You will work with the program managers & engineers on how to best let the factories successfully carry out complex engineering experiments to fulfill engineering and NPI chip demand.

  • You will take the lead to identify the chip NPI demand spikes for chip NPI and collaborate with product test engineering team to craft the NPI capacity support plan.

What we need to see:

  • 10+ overall years of working experience in the semiconductor chip planning field and 5+ years of experience in management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or business administration or equivalent experience in semiconductor Planning.

  • Experience in advanced packaging (CoWoS/2.5D assembly) planning is a plus.

  • Good communication, problem-solving, collaboration, organizational, and quantitative skills.

  • Proficiency in business software applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP, Windchill, and E2Open.

  • Language: Excellent English skills on reading, writing, speaking, and listening
