Ferring+You
You will be the lawyer accountable for all legal support for Global Procurement. You will be autonomous in advising Global Procurement by identifying and addressing legal risks and other opportunities, enabling business success and the achievement of Ferring’s Ambition in a legally compliant way. You will provide legal leadership in a collaborative, success and solutions-oriented way for all Global Procurement functions (ex-US) under the Chief Procurement Officer except for the Third Party Manufacturing category. You will be the main lawyer within the Global Legal (ex-US) team accountable for continuous improvement of the contracting process to meet the needs of the organisation.
Your day at Ferring
Accountable for advising Global Procurement on all legal issues. Guide and influence the team so that Global Procurement decisions incorporate and address legal risks.
Proactive participation as an active member of the Procurement Leadership Team.
Provide strategic and proactive advice on in-life issues with suppliers to resolve disputes.
Accountable for overseeing and managing Ferring’s alternative legal services provider working on low to mid-risk/complexity agreements.
Negotiate and draft strategic, complex agreements, including outsourcing, manufacturing, supply, and other agreements, and lead negotiations to a successful conclusion, interacting directly with the business and the third parties. Manage external counsel if used in connection with these agreements.
Collaborate with and keep other Ferring lawyers informed on any topics where there are interdependencies between procurement agreements and their areas.
Main point of contact for and partner to the CLO Operations team.

Behind our innovation…There’s you
Qualified lawyer with 5 - 7 years post qualification experience in either a multinational company or reputable law firm
Strongly preferred: Experience in the life sciences industry, in particular research & development, Technical Operations and Manufacturing
Experience in working with Procurement functions preferred
Strong communication and analytical skills. Ability to bring complexity to clarity.
Interest and experience in using AI, technology and simplicity to bring efficiency to legal services.
Fluent in written and spoken English
