Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, Senior Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support to our organization in the UK Region, comprising of entities across the UK, South Africa, Ireland and Ghana. This strategic legal role will mainly involve supporting client contract negotiations and supervising legal matters across the region, with the opportunity to work with a global team of lawyers, and business units.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Working closely with the business and other stakeholders to provide strategic legal and commercial contract advice, and advising internal business partners regarding contractual terms and legal issues 

  • Leading high-stakes client-facing negotiations with the ability to organize and lead commercial agreement reviews and negotiations diligently, professionally, persuasively and within Concentrix policies and procedures  

  • Draft, analyze, redline and advise on complex and / or transformational commercial and AI technology agreements with Concentrix clients by recognizing the interdependencies between Concentrix and client obligations, and Concentrix’s ability to comply with such terms within Concentrix matrices of approval 

  • Collaborate effectively with senior Legal Department personnel, Concentrix Sales and Account Managers and other internal stakeholders within the region and globally 

  • Ensuring proactive legal risk management across the region 

  • Ability to prioritize (and support colleagues’ prioritization) in a fast-paced environment 

  • Ability to quickly refocus and execute short-term priorities in response to the demands of the business 

  • Guides and develops junior team members; may coordinate contracting activities of other personnel 

  • Performs additional legal assignments and projects as may be required 

  • Works independently with limited or no guidance and adapts style 

  • Persuasive in delivering messages that relate to contractual and legal issues 

  • Recognizes internal or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues and recommends solutions/best practices or service improvements. 

  

What you’ll need  

  • Education: A Bachelor of Laws (L.LB) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent from a recognized university jurisdiction in UK (must have UK legal and commercial contract experience; dual qualified lawyer will be advantageous) 

  • At least 10 years of specialized legal and high stakes contract negotiation experience within the BPO Customer Experience sectors (experience with technology and AI contracts and UK Public sector will be advantageous)   

  • Expert and extensive knowledge of national and international law in commercial agreement review and negotiation 

  • Exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and basic document sharing management (e.g. Sharepoint) 

  • Ability to lead and inspire large teams 

  • Display leadership qualities in strategy and execution 

  • Strong business acumen and decision-making abilities 

  • Skilled in navigating complex regulatory environments 

  • Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation and change 

  • Proficient in developing and executing corporate strategy 

  • Adopt technology and embrace integration to enhance legal efficiency
