Senior Learning & Development Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Consultant within the Human Resources Talent Management & Learning team. This role partners with leaders across Consumer Banking and Lending to identify skill gaps and deliver targeted learning and coaching solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. The consultant serves as a strategic performance partner, aligning learning initiatives with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and enterprise goals.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Consult with business leaders, managers, and individual contributors to assess performance needs and recommend learning and coaching solutions.

  • Act as a strategic performance consultant by aligning learning initiatives with business metrics, outcomes, and enterprise impact.

  • Lead end-to-end project execution including needs analysis, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and compliance considerations.

  • Apply independent judgment to research, analyze, and guide moderately complex initiatives.

  • Partner with instructional design teams to develop curricula, courses, and learning materials informed by data, learner feedback, and business priorities.

  • Provide advanced coaching grounded in adult learning principles to support performance improvement.

  • Analyze learning and performance data and translate insights into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

  • Collaborate across teams, influence decision-making, and mentor Learning & Development Consultants to build capability and consistency.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Learning and Development Consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise across the full learning lifecycle, including consultation, analysis, design, development, facilitation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience supporting financial services organizations, preferably Consumer Banking or Lending.

  • Proven project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Experience coaching, developing, mentoring employees and creating learning solutions that drive behavior change and performance improvement.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize data and develop practical solutions.

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, including strong listening and questioning techniques.

  • Ability to translate complex regulatory or technical content into clear, engaging, learner-centered experiences.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, adaptability, strategic mindset, and commitment to continuous professional development.

Job Expectations:

  • Position will require onsite presence at one of the required locations listed below in a hybrid work schedule.

  • Travel up to 25%

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$77,000.00 - $133,000.00
