Overview:

This position is intended for a Senior Lead Engineering professional with strong knowledge and technical expertise in Technical Publications for Collins Aerostructures commercial Nacelle Components, responsible for developing high-quality maintenance documentation as per ATA and S1000D requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and maintain technical documentation including maintenance manuals, service bulletins, component maintenance manuals (CMM), illustrated parts catalogs (IPC), etc for Aircraft Components and Systems. Hand-on Experience on Engine Nacelle and its components is considered as an added advantage.

• Review and validate technical content for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and consistency.

• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, DCN, Change proposal (CP), CRF, SPIB, and Airworthiness Directives to create clear and precise documentation.

• Strong working knowledge on Arbortext Epic Editor and S1000D Common Source Database (CSDB). Experience with Flatirons CORENA(KCM) CSDB is preferred.

• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, DCN, Change proposal (CP), CRF, SPIB, and Airworthiness Directives to create clear and precise documentation.

• Ensure compliance with Technical Publications Aerospace Standards ATA100, iSpec 2200 S1000D and Simplified English standard ASD-STE.

• Collaborate with product support engineering, quality, Aftermarket team, and customers to gather and verify technical content.

• Mentor new joinees and provide guidance on best practices and publications standards/tools.

• Act as a focal point for issue resolution within the team, ensuring clear communication across stakeholders and leadership.

• Support internal and quality audits by ensuring documentation readiness.

• Working knowledge on PLM tools like Teamcenter and Enovia.

• Responsible for planning, monitoring, and tracking the status of projects to guarantee on-time completion of deliverables.

• Willingness to work in extremely tight schedules, while still not neglecting the value of attention to details and subsequently delivering high quality work

• Mentor new hires and provide guidance on best practices and publications standards/tools.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / aerospace engineering.

• 7-12 years of industry experience in Authoring/proof reading of CMMs, AMMs, AIPC and Data Modules.

• Strong working knowledge of ATA iSpec 2200 and/or S1000D standards.

• Experience with XML-based authoring tools and Common Source Database.

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
