Senior IT Project Manager
We are seeking an operationally focused Senior Project Manager to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Senior IT Project Manager at Marsh, you will bring your expertise in a wide variety of IT operations and infrastructure projects. You will work on several projects across technology in parallel with different stakeholders and sponsors.
We will count on you to:
- Understand the requirements of new assignments by ensuring that assumptions are challenged, technical proposals are tested and business requirements validated with a view to obtaining the best result for the company as a whole
- Manage projects including determining milestones, holding team members accountable for assigned responsibilities, identifying risks, facilitating problem resolution with clients and internal stakeholders and managing resource and budget forecasts
- Ensure that significant problems are identified at the earliest opportunity and that solutions are identified and implemented in line with the change control process or escalated as appropriate
- Manage lifecycle and operational aspects of projects to include resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions and dependencies
- Prepare status reports and interface with stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution are aligned with defined objectives
- Ensure methodology compliance, auditing and tracking of ongoing projects; using the agreed tools at regular intervals to ensure projects are on course and follows the approved methodology.
- Recommend corrective actions on projects or seek guidance for corrective actions if required.
What you need to have:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline
- 7+ years of project management experience with a record of accomplishment leading operational and infrastructure projects
- Experience with project financials
- Self-starter and self-directed to plan and execute initiatives and projects
- Motivated, productive professional individual, who works independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced level of English is essential

- Experience with both Agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Knowledge of project management in Planview Portfolios
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications are a plus.
