At Ayvens we have an opening for an experienced Engineering Expert for Back Office Systems.

What are you going to do?

As our new Engineering Expert, you will ensure all activities related to the conception, configuration, evolution, and support of back-office systems across our subsidiaries. From analysing user requirements to deploying solutions, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our IT landscape. You will also contribute to support and maintenance projects, conduct specific studies, and implement Ayvens project methods when required.

You will report to Team Leader Digital & IT.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate activities between users, IT analysts, developers, and other D&IT teams.

  • Define business requirements and oversee technical specifications for development.

  • Follow up on development progress and manage deliverables from external partners.

  • Participate in functional reviews, migration scenarios, and user acceptance tests.

  • Assist developers in resolving complex technical issues and recommend SMART solutions.

  • Prepare and conduct workshops, including multi-country sessions.

  • Support communication and training initiatives related to system changes.

This position is available in the following location(s): Paris, Amsterdam or Madrid.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate is a senior technical specialist with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence strategic decisions. You combine deep technical expertise with leadership qualities and can communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

You will have relevant experience in a similar role, preferably holding a Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience, and:

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering and IT systems.

  • Solid experience with Sofico Miles ERP system, configuring and supporting functional modules.

  • Expertise in business requirements collection and IT specifications.

  • Strong knowledge of integrated software, web systems, and .NET platforms.

  • Excellent SQL skills and ability to conduct detailed testing.

  • Ability to lead meetings and workshops with multi-location teams.

  • Availability for occasional international travel.

  • Excellent proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Experience in car rental or fleet management activities is a plus.

  • Stress-resistant and highly organized.
