Job Description:

As a Senior Analyst / Junior Associate in our Investment Banking team with a focus on the Technology sector, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of M&A transactions and strategic advisory across tech verticals including software, IT services and emerging technologies. You will be responsible for conducting detailed financial and strategic analyses, preparing high-impact client materials, and contributing to the full execution of live transactions. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with senior bankers, entrepreneurs, and investors in a dynamic and fast-evolving sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex financial models (DCF, LBO, trading and transaction comparables) tailored to technology companies and sector-specific metrics (e.g., ARR, churn, customer acquisition costs).
• Perform detailed valuation and strategic analysis of technology businesses, considering growth dynamics, scalability, and business model characteristics.
• Lead the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, information memorandums, and management presentations with a focus on M&A execution in the tech ecosystem.
• Support the end-to-end execution of live transactions, including process coordination, due diligence management, negotiation support, and deal structuring.
• Assist in business development efforts by researching market trends, identifying potential targets/investors, and preparing sector insights and transaction precedents.
• Collaborate with senior bankers to provide strategic recommendations to clients based on financial analysis, market positioning, and sector trends.
• Engage with founders, venture capital and private equity investors, and strategic corporates across the European tech landscape.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts on financial modelling, sector research, and presentation development.

Requirements:

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education: Strong academic background with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field. CFA or similar qualification is a plus.
Experience: 3–4 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, private equity, or corporate development, preferably with exposure to the technology sector.
Technical Skills:
o Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparables, precedent transactions).
o Strong understanding of accounting, financial statements, and key value drivers specific to technology businesses.
o Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, etc.).
Soft Skills:
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with strong commercial acumen in the tech industry.
o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
o Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced deal environment.
o High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, self-driven attitude.
